Making money by developing apps

Is there anyone here who's an app developer and is earning a decent income through their apps (Android or iOS, I'm doing Android atm)? Apps are such a big monetizing area and I feel this forum doesn't have many discussions on the topic =P

App development isn't really IM. That's probably why you don't see many discussions about it here.

Exactly. I bet there are some good forums for app developers.

Apps are products. You can find a ton of info in this forum on how to make money with apps. Actually developing them? I haven't seen much.

I would call it IM for sure. There are lots of people who don't know much about android development yet they still reskin, publish & promote apps, and make money in the process. I'd call that internet marketing =P.

Then there are those who sell their source for others to reskin. I'd definitely count products towards IM, since it is marketing if you're planning on monetizing it.

stop wasting your time with "android only". iOS is better than android imo although you should do both

also if you dont have decent budget to promote your apps, it's going to be very hard. everybody else is competing with big budget
