Do you have examples of your work? You could put a portfolio site together and use social media to get interest. Is your work original creations? Have you thought about contacting galleries. Just an idea, contact local hospitals, shopping centres, offices etc, offer some of your work to exhibit for free to get your name out there

Try freelancing on Fiverr or Upwork if your work is good enough.

Hey fam.

You said it yourself.

To be able to make money as a 3D artist you would need to be on a level to be able to get hired.

How many hours of practice/study do you think you would need to do to get to the level of being hired for your skills?
100? 500? 1000?

I know nothing of 3D stuff, but do you know what kind of works 3D artists get?

what is the 3d job that pays least? on those sites Dresden said
Prioritize on learning that while learning EVERYTHING else 3D on the side

blogzandstuff is on the right track, build a portfolio tracking your different skills so you can see where you are good and where you are lacking in skills so you can work on it,

but it might be too early to get your name out there cause then the potential clients might see your work before you are fully skilled and judge you based on that.

Maybe starting a website/blog where you teach as your learn the 3d stuff,
then its okay I guess to show the world your work that isn't ''worth money''

maybe you can monetize this website too with ads? or selling 3d software for commission?

or after you gain some skills and followers, you can sell/teach courses, write e-books, do webinars, idk.

yep, fiverr, upwork, freelancer.com is a good place to start.. make sure to have good online portfolio.. (the 3d professional usually have online portfolio on artstation, while the 2d is on behance)
You need to start low (bidding low on project), building reputation first when starting freelancing work.

You may also consider the site like turbosquid where you can submit your 3d and let them do the promotion/sale

Thanks you so much for the replies, I already created some social media accounts and uploaded my content- will work hard to become better at this and will upload frequently to my social media accounts- and again thanks a lot for the idea guys :)

You have to make a very professional-looking website with a VERY GOOD portfolio (so do spend time on it, don't rush things), include a short bio, etc. Then manual outreach or advertise somewhere. Look up the 'for hire' subreddit. Before that however, make an account on upwork - not to work there (you'll be absolutely shocked at the amount of pages and pages of competitors lists, also even professions you wouldn't think are saturated, like 'expert on sales funnels' are so saturated, that they will reject your application just on that basis, but you can still browse listings without an approved account tho), but to browse the posted jobs and see what's in demand.

You only need to find one company that feels you are a great match for them in order to get hundreds of hours of paid work. Relevance always trumps skills and experience, so do look up what's in demand before you start - if you specialize in modelling furniture, and there's a company that looks for furniture modellers, you're in and everyone else even people with higher skills are out. In other words, niche down & specialize in what's in demand.
