making dummy appications of software

if i was going to make a dummy application for any software e.g nortans antivrus that can be released on any platform as a application.

I mainly want to do this so i can edit the buttons to go to my webpage.

Would the best way to do this is run anti virus trial then copy the images editing them using adobe photoshop then copying as a backround image on visual C++ windows form application.

Is there easier way to clone a sofware application.

You know that this is violation of copyright ? If Symantec finds our they will sue your ass.
Also you'd have to hope for very stupid users if they fall for an image.

You'd clone it like you build software. Create the same elements at the same locations.

But be assured, if you make any serious money/traffic with it (anything that is worth speaking about) you are also at high risk of legal troubles.
I doubt it is worth it.
