Making a SEO Company?

You need to learn about keyword research and as it has been said earlier, it is not a matter of simply scrapeboxing your client's links. There is a lot more involved and all the information is here in this forum.

That is very true but no one wants to read thousands of pages of technical,
they want to read about the latest trillionaire cash making method while dreaming about spending it.
I'll dig this course out for you later and post the link in this thread. It's only $89 at the moment to take the test.

There is no official SEO accreditation at present but those little banners on my web page
and stationary stand me head and shoulders above the n00bs.
Worth every penny, get as many as you can.
Get google adwords and analytic certification as well, that knocks the CEO's
back into their chairs.

While my process of deep thinking i once thought...."Devil. Why dont you make a SEO Company?"

Not a big dream but it might work if i do offline and online intergrated.

But as i always do my math.
I Said Companies are asking for $60/month right?
Then how do they pay their workers?
Minimum wage is $7.25 In the US and if i pay them $7.25 Per hour for 4 hours
That will be $29/Day $870/month of average 30 days
Its not worth it right?

that is exactly why these companies are in places like pakistan and malaysia and not america.

$60/month is a joke charge $300-3000 per project and it does not mean you have to work full month in some cases. Outsource jobs from philippines or India get full time workers for $300-400 month...

I know a lot of SEO companies who are raking thousands of dollars. Most of them are into outsourcing.

I agree. Sometimes err most of the time it is better and cheaper as far as not only the opportunity cost, but the expenses to outsource some of the services offered. And SEO companies strive like that!

$60 a month?
That would get them less than 2 hours work from my company.
I wouldn't take any company seriously that was offering
SEO services for $60 a month.
Generic search SEO is pretty much a second string for the majority of businesses
now unless they want a global audience and sell direct from their site anyway.
Local search and social media marketing management are better options for
smaller businesses.
And why someone would wish to have ten clients at $60 a month instead of one
at $3000 or even $600 if you want to short change yourself beats the hell out of me.
$2 a day? I'll charge you more then that to log into your analytics.
Why people short change themselves I will never know. Have you seen what
lawyers charge for a phone call or letter. Don't undervalue yourself you're a professional.

You say most companies charge $60 a month. I have never come across a reputable SEM/SEO
offering those prices. What services are they quoting for?
PM me some links to these $60 companies I want to investigate.

Unfortunatly I doubt you can be reconized as a professional as much as a lawyer is. You did nothing, except from read onine (the SEO part, I don't know for the managing part). They have their $ because they have a certificate. It's harder to talk in a trial than having to pay a filipino to use senuke.

Still funny that you compare your work to a lawyer

I have my own in-house staff that does everything from content creation, graphics, custom web design, etc. that I need for my own sites. We are US based and all my staff lives in my area so we can meet face-to-face as needed but work from their own homes allowing me to keep overhead down. I provide them all the tools they need to get the job done as wellas train them on how I want things done. We also do work for a selelct group of clients; some on monthly retainers and others as needed.

One of things I have thought about doing is offering our services to others in the IM community on a small monthly retainer basis, something like $50/month. Those who would benefit from this arrangement could be people with their own portfolio of sites needing SEO work, or it could be from those who are selling SEO services to others and just need a reliable "back office". Also, those who retained us would be freed from having to worry about maintaining dedicated servers, VPS, proxies, monthly fees for other tools, staff turnover and training, etc. As you know that can get quite expensive very quickly to maintain just the basic tools if you do not have enougn income coming in to justify and cover the ongoing expenses of a few hundred dollars. Not to mention the learning curve, updates, and the time you have to actually spend using the tools.

The monthly retainer is just to make sure that we keep enough capacity for your projects and also be available to consult with you on special situations as needed. Each project we would do for those who kept us on retainer would be available at a highly reduced rate over what you would normally expect to pay for the level of service we would provide. The biggest single expense for any project is creating quality, original content (not scraped and spun articles) for the tier 1 links.

I am curious to see what kind of interest some may have for this kind of arrangement.
