Making a high CPC niche site?

Instead of going for an Amazon affiliate blog with a billion articles where you need 100k traffic to make some money, why wouldn't I find low comp keywords for a high CPC niche and just write informational articles and earn from ppc?

I've had domains which received targeted traffic which I parked and which earn like $10 per month just from literally 50 visits per month? If I make a site instead with a bunch of articles trying to rank for some easy keywords, why wouldn't this work great?

High cpc niches have crazy competition. If you are confident enough to beat big medias then go ahead
 
If you can rank for those keywords then yes, go for it. Otherwise, it's a wash. You have to bring in traffic to be profitable. Research some keywords, analyze the competition and go from there. The SEO bit isn't any different, if there are long tails with low comp then the process will be more or less the same.
 
Well it does work great, however, you have to find these niches, and write in the best way possible that keeps the conversions flowing, as well as select the right targeted keywords. It's easy to say a recipe can work, slightly more challenging to get it to work. :)

So what I can take from this is it can be done, if it is done right. Right?

And compared to an amazon affiliate site, if a niche is found and keywords too, it would be easier to make money from this than amazon, wouldn't you say?

I think the basic is, give people value and traffic will come, so does the money.
 
You can earn a good amount on CPC, yes the competition is hard for those keywords but most of time the very low volume are also easy to rank regardless the niche competition. Hard and consistent work mate!
In a few months you will make it

Yes when you will have a lot of visitors it worth to split test from different advertising, for now stick to adsense. It will not be easy you have a long road that await you but it worth it!!
 
Well yes, I would say AdSense is the way to go. And for me I would look into buying traffic since it is high CPC niche and competition is high

But wouldn't quality traffic also cost a lot? I think I'd need to know what I was doing in order to keep ROI positive there.
 
OK so I investigated a high CPC niche. I find that most of the time, for a keyword which semrush deems low comp (like usually 5-15 KD), you will typically see a bunch of DR40+ sites ranking. They're all legit sites within the niche, have backlinks, and a good amount of traffic but they have very few, if any, backlinks for the specific page I'm looking at.

So their PA is 0 but they are otherwise high authority domains. What to make of this?

Seems to me by analysis that I can rank for these keywords if I add backlinks to my pages. Semrush seems inconsistent in assessing KD. Some keywords they give a KD rating of 10 but it seems you need backlinks to rank, but for other keywords, it seems like there are 0 exact match relevant results on SERPs so it seems like you can rank by just doing on-page SEO.

What would you guys suggest here? Any tips?

Share your website articles on relevant fb groups and buy cheap native ads traffic from outbrain, taboola.
