Making 100 cold calls today.

    Basically, I have a source of great leads for people who need new websites, and myself and my business partner will be calling 100 people a day, every day this week. Flat. Watch what happens.

    I have a VERY nice landing page setup(if any respected members want to give some tips, I'll pm it to you, but I'm not open to showing it to the public), and I'm trying to get $300 per website redesign, with a turnaround time of 1 week.

    If I call 100 people with shitty websites a day, I should DAMN sure be able to make cash in my pocket, TODAY. Watch listen and learn with me.

    Take action... the adage so cliche it's dismissed every damn time, but it's really all it takes. The worst salesmen in the world still pays his bills...

    Actually I'm doing it all across the U.S. I'm in a pretty impoverished area(Detroit), so cold calling around here is just... daunting to say the least.

    The way I see it, they see my semi-authority marketing site(I'm building a huge authority site that is going beyond swimmingly, but that's a whole different story, for another time...) and the high quality of my samples, all in industries that are similar to their's - there's no way I can't get a few guys to put $300 down on a website today.

    I use to do cold calling...
    one person can do way more than 100 calls a day.
    you might not do that the first days... but with practice you can achieve way more than 100 calls a day.

    1/4 of the way through and not a lead.. daunting to say the least. People seem to love their shitty websites.

    Cold calling is definitely a tough gig. One piece of advise that worked for me (again everyone is different on their approach) when i did cold calling for a sales job in the past, the best way to get a lead was to both keep the potential customer talking and to get them to say yes several times. You can achieve getting the customer to talk by just asking simple questions, maybe how is your day going? or i noticed your website looks outdated, how long ago was it made? This gets them into conversation mode. Also if you can get them to say yes over and over, it gets their attitude into a yes man mode....(loved the movie with jim carey). Statistics show customers are more likely to say yes to you because it creates a positive flow for them. Closed ended questions are good for this. Examples: Are you doing good today? I have visited your business in the past, do you guys still have (insert product of business). Hope these help and remember, this isn't a numbers game, it's a relationship game. Build that rapport with your customer and they will buy from you!

    Cold Calling takes like a week to make some Good Value Output..It took my team around 2 weeks to make 1st Sale..(it was 5 months old Story)..Do not Loose Hope.>Try try ..make Pitch more powerful..More COnvincing your Call it is more chance for you to get client.
    Now a days In Type Calling is to find a Crappy design site, make or redesign it on your own server with Brilliant look etc..make a Proposal and Fax the Owner Your Own Server demo which you redesigned and offer him what you want to charge!!!If he like his site and love your design..he 100% will pay you for design which you already made..if he does not then Onbviously you can find same industry crapy other site and change few things and show him the same piece..
