Just wanted to start this thread as inspiration for those who want to make money off of youtube.

My friend who is in the top 500 youtubers (he's in the low 500s) makes over $30,000 a month off of youtube. Isnt that nuts? He makes 1 video a week and gets about 5 million views a month on all his videos.
He's not even necessary a well known or big youtuber.. Its amazing how much people can make off of youtube. I currently make around $5000 a month.

I recently heard from someone that works at Machinima that PewDiePie makes $4.50 per 1000 on all views. This isn't rare as they usually offer big youtubers between $4.00-$6.00 per 1000. Pewdiepie got 98,083,826 views in the last 30 days. Just calculate that! Crazy

if you have great content and a lot of real viewers you will make money!

Have you ever done something on youtube?
Try and see that isn't easy

This post is just for inspiration. few mins ago, I was happy with my earning. but now I am feeling lack of money.

I am on the way of thinking to earn $30k a month.

dude no way .... 100 MILLION views can't make you $490,000 that must be some crazy CTR or am I wrong ?
Well he said hes friend makes 30k$ from 5 million views so its a matter of multiplying it by 18 coz pewdipie apparently gets 98 million views per month so yh that brings it to nearly 500k$

Theres really no secret. Make good videos and monetize your videos with the youtube ads. Sign up with a youtube network if you can.
Most people don't realize that the big youtubers (like Ray, Smosh, Jenna Marbles, etc) are multi-millionaires.

Found nothing useful in here. One of my friend also monetize youtube videos. earns about 3000$ per month and he has said that he have some tricks to attract more views instantly. may be tricky tags, titles, gain momentum from paid views or something else. never said to me. :(

You guys are saying all you have to do is make great videos? I know a lot of filmmakers who make AMAZINGLY EPIC short films that win film festivals but can't get more than 20 views on youtube.

It's about personality and content. Jenna Marbles makes one 5 min video a week basically, and banks.
