If possible, it should be made clickable so that I can quickly see whether it was valid or not. Otherwise, I have to go there through my past posts which takes time. In some cases, I would like to know the results as it will help me to report accurately in future.

    This doesn't make sense.

If a report was resolved, it was valid. If a report was rejected, it was invalid.

Keep in mind too that if more than 1 person reports the same post, only the first on the list will receive an acknowledgement.

Plus not all send out a resolved / rejected report, if the poster is spam banned.

Are you asking us to make the "post in thread" title clickable?

While the decision isn't up to me, I do think making the thread title in the report clickable in the same way as any other alert is a decent suggestion, but not for the reason you stated.

Everyone who reports a thread or post will receive an alert. Here's an example of an alert I received for a post I reported as the 3rd reporter.

Whenever we, the moderators, comment on a report, we will not receive an alert when it's resolved or rejected.

    1) Yes.
    2) Does it happen irrespective of whether the report is resolved or rejected ?

Yes, here's an example of a post I reported and then rejected where I was the second member to report it.

I think this does not happen with me all time. I do not remember if I got this rejected alert ever. And even if all were resolved, I do not get alert for all. May be like for 3-4 out of 10 I reported. Also, since I do not have these showing permanently in alerts (like other ones which are clickable) , I cannot check this now.

We have the option to not send an alert for resolutions/rejections. Report your post above mine right now and I'll send you a rejection alert real quick just so you can see.

Edit: I just sent you a rejection alert.

I get an alert less than 50% of the time and I've also never received a rejected alert.

I confirm that I got the rejected alert.

What I wanted to suggest here is that if I get the answer in every case, it would improve my accuracy for future reports. For some cases, I am still not sure whether it was resolved or rejected. And you mentioned that staff has the option to not send an alert.

Keep in mind that we're under no obligation to send out an alert or a detailed response whenever we resolve or reject a report. Still, I suppose it's something I can talk over with the other moderators and MiTs.

If you were filing multiple inaccurate reports, then surely a moderator would tell you via PM.

@BassTrackerBoats covered this earlier this year:

Why does it have to be manual ? It should be automatic, once the report is resolved or rejected and automatic alert should be sent to the person reporting without requiring any additional effort from the staff.

Clearly there still has to be manual intervention.

If you report someone for post count spamming and a moderator removes some of the posts for that member then warns the member, they still need to file a report.

The forum won't be smart enough to see the action taken and then automatically file a report accordingly. To code something like this would not only be costly, it would be a waste of time and resources in my opinion.

At the moment, I think @krishnaverma is more interested in receiving a blank rejection/resolution alert rather than a detailed answer. Sending a bit more blank alerts out is doable, but BTB is absolutely right about typing up individual responses in addition to sending out an alert; it can be time-consuming.
@WilhelmScream answered this back in January, although we have other reasons for not sending out an alert that I'm not going to discuss.

I actually thought the same thing as @MisterF about the first guy to report. I only mentioned my experience because I seem to have misunderstood this statement.
I personally don't even think the alerts are necessary but I can see why some members would want them.

I see it as a courtesy to send alerts whenever time permits it.
