yes that will fuck it up mate. replace the original htaccess

how to insert a logo / PICTURE ? I tried editing index.php and I see logo for 1 second and thats it,...

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?domain.con(/)?.*$ [NC]

Now I can see my logo,, but when generate a link and click it, Im gettit Hostgator 404 error... any fix ?

by using .htaccess file !

ok, I just fixed all problems with pictures..
but when I generate Url , it looks like this

site.com/2
site.com/3
site.com/4
any way to make it show random numbers ?

I am thinking of Iframing the CPA offer and upload it to my domain, is this method safe?

I know that everyone on this site is mostly developer ready, but somewhere in the last 20 years they didn't tell me where the club was. I am as developer challenged as they get.

Could you re-write the instructions here, keeping in mind it is for someone that needs explanation even on the first item:

1) Get a Database. What does this mean? Whos database? I thought a database was a bunch of info. on a disk or within a program like Excell.

2) Unpack it. Okay, does this mean that i need to sort through files or I am vaguely aware of what a zip program is, is this what you mean by unpack it? That I will need a zip program. The only thing I know is it probably has little to do with Loui Vuitton Luggage. Help!

3) Please do not point me to the book or series "An Idiots Guide To Developing" Even this is beyond me. I can do this I just need you to talk like you're explaining it to your 95 year old grandmother who is seeing a computer for the 1st time in her life. thanks sorry for the hassle.

4) Now, to check if we are even on the same planet, does this eventually mean I will own my own "Shortner" like my company Get A Trip, can I choose something relevant to my domain name or at least a keyword within my industry, in my case "travel" or "trip" or "vacation"

5) Lastly, is this time constricted? In other words is this or the shortened URLs good for life? I would hate to assign a thousand of these to millions of products only to find I would have to reapply for them?If they are permanent what is to stop some jerk in the cubicle over from wrecking havoc on me and abusing the extension???

6) Promise last question. Do these shortners have to be "hosted' somewhere, is this how it works???

Does anyone know if these URL Shortners are hard on SEO?

They must be correct? I mean one's article title for instance, this title tag is the very first thing Google spiders for, then the H1 tag, which preferably is the same as the title tag, correct?

With a shortner, immediately it would be like eliminating one of the very best SEO items and it is like as important as it gets, right? And there really is no way to mask it as even if you are not done and have just done the preliminary work or is url shortened name is in place and Google happens to crawl it they could not possibly know the relevance of what your article is about.

Or am I missing the boat altogether? Or is there an obvious consideration I did not yet consider?

Seriously, it takes 3 minutes. If you know how to create a website in the first instance, have knowledge of how to create a database and know how to edit a couple of variables in the config file then it will take you less than 3 minutes.

Maybe if your a total noob and have to read the FAQ for every step then it would take no longer than 30 minutes.
