Make $$$ with poker without playing!

Okay guys, this is a long post but its worth it, and it works guaranteed. But before doing this you do need to know a little bit aboout Texas Hold'em. My best friend started a cool poker business 5 months ago, and just hired me since he is banking it now. Now this method does take a minimal investment $2000, but its worth it, trust me. First what you do is buy 6 to 8 poker tables. You can get them for cheap for $100 each. Buy 3 sets of poker chips($300). Then go to your county clerks office and buy a business liscense to make your business legit($30). Now what you do is go to your local bars and give them a proposal to increase their customers by having a Texas' Hold'em Free roll tournament. Ask them to test you out for a month and have them sign a 1 month contract having them pay you $200 a night everytime you are there. After a month if they like it(and they will), Have them sign a year contract and have them pay you $400 instead. Then repeat this process with another bar. Thats it. Now you may seem confused or skeptical about this idea but it really does make good money. My friend has four contracts with four bars that happy to pay this. He runs two tournaments a day monday-thursday. Each bar has a different day and each bar pays him $400 that day of the tournnament. Bars are happy to pay this because customers come like crazy playing for only a $50 prize free roll. But all these customers spend an average of $30-$50, so its all profit for the bar. The great thing about this is that it is all legal. MY friend is doing this in Texas, where gambling is illegal. But since the bar is giving the money away to the winner there is no gambling. But my friend makes $6400 a month and just hired me to run his games for $500 a week, now he sits back looking for another bar. But your main job will be just running poker tournaments in bars. It is really fun and you meet a lot people. And my friend is only 22. But this is not for lazy, or unmotivated people. I know this post is long so I'm gonna cut it off short, but if you want specific details on it. I'll be glad to help. I plan on saving my money and doing the same thing in Dallas. Sorry, I know this isn't exactly black hat, but I just wanted to contribute.

P.s. MY friend also put the details of these tournament on myspace which helps bring local traffic, I'm sure if you use some of the great methods in this forum combined with the one I gave you, you should make great money. Just be use your mind and be creative.

Check the laws in your state. In Louisiana, as far as I have heard, it is illegal for a place that sells alcohol to host a game of chance if it results in an increase in alcohol sales.

Many bar games have been shut down and that law has been cited.

So why do bars need you? They can do this by themselves though. Am I missing something?

Creative, but if the majority of BHWers will not tackle an online method, I seriously doubt they will tackle an offline method.

Hey guys, thought I should reply since there is some confusion. I believe one of the questions was what do they need us for. Great question. Simple answer, they don't.

But the owners would have to invest in buying the tables and chips and running the tourneys themselves. In my opinion I think they would find it more convinent for us to do everything. But I really don't know how the owners of the bars thinks, you would have to ask them.

And yes you should check the laws in your state before doing this. Again we reside in El Paso Texas. The cops haven't done nothing yet and I'm sure if it was illegal in our city the owners wouldn't sign the contract. In fact, there have been many bars that have been doing the same thing for years, at least here. But again check the laws in your state.
