So these couple of few days have been uneasy and I felt that something was going wrong.

Pretty much here is the deal short and simple - when you decide to be a man of action, proactive, go-getter and all that good stuff you transform as a person - whether you want to or not you do. You change your mindset, you change the way you make your decisions, you change the way you view your life.

In my mind I see as a person becoming a bowl of fire and just burning through everything like obstacles, problems, victim mentality, naysayers, procrastination, best friends who become worse enemies... all that you burn through and you keep rising towards the top.

    BUT

and this is a big one. This fire can very quickly get out of control if not careful.

One of the main things is that it burns your relationships with real friends, family because you are SO focused on your own goals and dreams.

    Why am I saying this?

Because I just hit a moment like that and it really made me think. Really made me sit down for at least two straight hours in front of my desk and just think.

It is good to be motivated, proactive, action-taker BUT never forget how to zoom-out and then zoom-back into your goals. Zoom out to see how the WORLD is and if everything is fine go right back into it but if it is not then you better fix the problems outside before going back inside your head, back to your goals, back to your daily small tasks and actions.

    Hope this helps.

    Wish everyone luck.

Honestly really helps at times to just take 2-3 hours and just think about your whole life including business, family and purpose in general. Really puts things into perspective.

Not sure if you studied neuro linguistic programming or you are doing these things unconciously, such as zooming in/zooming out, imaginging yourself as a fire boulder burning/destroying all the obstacles/fears/insecurities/doubts in your path. A really interesting post. I am going to use this for motivation. I am going to imagine myself as a fire boulder going through all my obstacles/doubts/fears.
I think health is most important, following by financial success/security, then good relationships.
Without health we cannot enjoy money/other people's company and without money we can't really enjoy health and great relationships with others LONG term. But having health and money, I feel it is easy to make friends as long as you want to. I think only after achieving the financial goals I have set for myself will I stop being a fire boulder and I will not let anything or anyone stop me now.
    Thanks for your post

This is the curse of IM income. Once you get it u get absorbed from the real world, u lose friend, family, girlfriend, wife. Thats why I keep my offline business alive, so I can interact with new people every day and exercise my social skills. Also health is important, i had the best ideas while working in the gym.

3 grams of Psilocybe Cubensis a couple of times a year will help with the zooming out aspect, IMHO

We got the best mushies near the coast here around picking time. Cyanescens are more my cup of tea as I enjoy the stronger psychoactive effect.I do them once ever 6 months and they always help me keep my life in check.

Nice post man. Every so often I lay awake at night thinking about these things, even sometimes when I look at myself in the mirror. That post about congruency by zen really changed some stuff up for me mentally. Sometimes I wish I kept a journal to keep track of some of these thoughts, and to serve as a way to track where I started from / how I've changed.

Yeah, I am so glad I found this place.
I really wanted to be around people who were also into making money online. I tried to get my real life friends involved but they are too busy wasting time and have no care about making money. All they have are excuses no matter how much I tried to motivate them. It's not their fault though because it is just not a priority for them. They just want to have fun. But for me, nothing is more satisfying than seeing daily income increase and having safety and security knowing you are financially safe. And without this I even felt like ending my life. But thanks to this community I have gotten over such nonsense and I am back on my journey. I already made double the amount I was making since I started reading these forums.
    I was making 9 cents a day now I am making 18 cents a day :D
    Gotta start somewhere baby <3

Those are the good memories! :) I still remember my first $9.99 day one of the happiest days of my life because the possibility in my head finally became a reality. And YEAP as you said - this journey is not for everyone!

I never lose focus of my personal life, health, family; since they're all the reason I do this every day. I remember the only alternative is being a 22 year old loser who let his parents down - himself down. Nothing lights the fire more.

    Thats interesting.

Since I've gotten into the IM game, I've cut off nearly all my "friends", slowly getting my family out the way. FUCK THEM. They're holding me back from MY personal success. I don't need them. I don't need anyone. All that matters is making cash, and if they can't handle that, they can FUCK OFF. While they spend their whole fucking lives making minuscule amounts of money, I've got the potential to make SO MUCH MORE. They might ridicule IM now, because there is no route to "fast internet cash", but when I do make it, they can FUCK THEMSELVES.

It started with people trying to push the usual bullshit on me "Get married", "start a family", "be held back from your goals because there not realistic". FUCK. THEM. I've spend all my goddamn free time on this forum for the past 2 months, and it's starting to pay off. I've had ideas that I NEVER would have had without this and other forums and information. The info on forums like this is FUCKING PRICELESS. But they can't understand that. All they can fuckin do, instead of support me, is judge and ridicule me. They can only think of one SHIT FILLED life plan, and they want to push that on me, and try to drag me down when they see I'm having success, and not going their STUPID SHITTY route.

This is why I'm getting those FUCKERS OUT MY GODDAMN LIFE. When I'm 20 years old, I'LL BE SINGLE, HAPPIER AND MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN THEY COULD EVER BE. I'LL BE ABLE TO HELP SOCIETY MORE THAN ANY FUCKTARD FAMILY MAN. THE GODDAMN BASTARD SHITS! I HOPE THEY FUCKING DIE! I FUCKING HATE THEM! SOON, I'LL BE AT THE TOP.

It might be a bit too much for most people to agree with the above post to screw everyone that is a loser, but on principle it is a valid mindset - regardless if we're talking about making money or whatever else you are interested in doing. You really need to stop worrying about the others, about "preserving" your relationships with family and friends etc. just because we're taught to do so and for no better reason. If your personal road leads you away from it all then so be it - nevermind anyone else as in the end we're all we've got and noone else will take care of or respect us besides ourselves.

I think you can even forget the "zooming out" altogether and just build a new set of friends around your "new" you which will naturally be attracted to you with time, as obviously you're not the same old person anymore if you've reached so far.

Well in some sort of way your right. But real friends they might not understand what your doing but they do support you. They might be interested or not in what you do it doesnt matter. Are you interested in what they learn in school, or do at theyre jobs? No fuck that. I care about real problems and I participate in real fun, thats what friends are for. I try to seperate my weekends from working. So I have the same hours as they do, we all work during the week and weekends are mostly free. Be productive in the hours you work. Its useless to work 80 hours a week. So today is monday and tonight my friends and me are going to watch the walking dead drink a few beers and then we go to sleep and start working again on tuesday.

But offcourse every one holding you back schould fack off, or leave you alone with their crap ideas about life. Or if they mean something to you, explain your situation what you do and that you don't want to be bothered with other ideas since it may effect your friendship or whatever.

    good luck

People will hold you back. They don't want you to change. They want the god old Tim by the pub every night sharing sloppy jokes and talking about that time when they got super drunk on halloween. It's difficult for others to understand why someone who does IM would rather stay in looking at analytics...

As someone above said- fuck em. Find that true friend that will stick by you and understand what you are saying/doing without the need to judge you or make a wisecrack at your expense. Personally i deal with this issue by telling everyone i have a job while i quietly do IM ;) If they won't don't know what you do they won't make issues. It's been working well for me so far. Also bro, if you have the time- meditate. Good luck mate !

This is not an IM only thing, this is running your own business in general thing. I have had to tell myself many times to not listen to other people. Been doing my own thing for over 6 years now. And hey look I make more than when I worked for someone else. Roll out of bed to my job. Have my own hours. And have gained way more experience than working for someone else. Good and bad, we are now looking to hire people and get an office. And yet I still get negative feedback from others that know what I am doing. Really? We are looking to hire and you still question what I have done?

Knowing that so many people need to work for someone because of the security has burned into my brain. Anything that goes slightly against the grain just doesn't work for so many people. Which makes it more difficult to find like minded individuals.

A good friend decided to leave his job and start his own app company. So finally I have someone to go to lunch with and discuss things in real life. I run an engineering company and there are many similarities. Its all harder work, longer hours, stepping outside the comfort zone. But the risk can pay off.

Thanks to all the people posting back on this forum and sharing their details about their own journey.

One thing I have noticed however in general that I would like to address is this - as I said having the go-getter, firebowl mentality is great. This helps you succeed tons and keeps you focused.

However, be VERY careful when cutting people off because this happens for 2 reasons:

1st is when they are taking you down and so you cut them out so you can accelerate. This is a totally legit reason and sadly sometimes your own family members could be the ones taking you down (in my case I was lucky enough to have support from my family, which really IS a blessing - come to think of it my family was the one who pushed me to start my own business haha kind of the opposite)

2nd is when you become SO obsessed with your own goals and dreams that you STOP zooming out - which is what I have been mentioning. When you have your head into just ONE domain you cannot process anything else properly like social dynamics and such. This could lead YOU to be the one in fault but since you are so focused on your goals you don't even notice what you have been doning wrong. If you start cutting people off from THIS state of mind you will go down a path that doesn't end well for you.

So please keep in mind to zoom in and zoom out - I actually reread the book by Jim Collins called Great By Choice and he mentions it himself after doing tedious amount of research on top leading entrepreneurs and their mindsets - and one of the main things he found with his team was exactly that- great leaders have ability to to zoom in and out of situations.

Thanks for all of your replies once again! Means a lot that people care about your journey. You guys are awesome!
