This concept blow my sox off, i was checking a tv show in The Netherlands about scammers.

How to pull the scam in my own words:

1:: Setup a site called '' domain guard'' or something like that.

2::Check some companies in your area, maby you find a baby store or kid store with the domain name (sample) http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/www.kidshop.c0m or whatever you can do this with any company

3::A lot of small stores only register1 domain extension so what you have to do is check if the dot net, info or us is free.

4::Register the dot net or (info are the cheapest)

5:: Put a porn,viagra or casino site on on YOUR purchased domain name

6::Call the companie ( in this case the kidshop and tell m that you can get this domain back. because people can land on that dirty page;).

7::Charge them a fee(depend on how big or small the company is) for administration cost and get the domain to their account.

8:: Now you made some money.

You can tweak it any way you like i just give a sample.
if you do this don't forget to set the domain on privacy or on somebody else their name.

I don't do this, but for those that don't care about scamming companies go ahead.

Yeah it work the compnay that does this still operate, the made more than a 500k, the problem is that the law can't do nothing about it, here in The Netherlands.
 
I think this will work if you put a reasonable price tag. Just don't make the company angry, be friendly and they may thanks you.
 
Yeah that's why i said it's a scam, most country's won't aloud it, but what can i say, my country it's a small paradise for scammers.
 
if you get someone from another country(russia,china,india) to register those domains, then no way can they link it to you. But it becomes a problem when you tell them you can transfer the domains for a fee because how would you get a hold of those individuals/domains in the first place.
 
if you do it on a smale scale , i mean local shops and only charge them something like $30,it should be that big of a deal... still it is a ripp...

Yeah there is a great variety here on the forum and thats what makes it the best forum around!

I appriceate the original poster talking about such a way to make money because its always good to bouce ideas off different methods to help yourself.
 
I would not call this method a scam though. But yea, trademark infringement might be an issue.
 
You just need to put a small banner above all of the pron that the site for sell, current bid $93 Buy it now $99.99. The company will definitely buy it.
 
A couple years ago I was new to all this IM stuff and I didn't even know what blackhat was per se, but I needed some quick cash so I did something pretty similar to this.

Basically I would walk in and tell the owner of a small shop that I could build him a nice site that would be all glowing reviews of his business and be a great site to put on his business cards with businessname.com for only 200-300 bucks depending on what he wanted...

...Or I could just leave what was already there under hisname.com (usually gay erotica affiliate landing page) I almost never got a no.

Almost got my ass kicked a couple times. But I also put a few hundred bucks a week in my bank account to help me get by during some rough times. (tip: this is easier to pull if you are somewhat intimidating looking. Luckily for me, I look much tougher to most people than I actually am. Never once actually came down to a fistfight. But it got close.)
 
Also help them setup a hosting account for the new domain and earn the $100 hosting affiliate commission.
 
It is not extortion if you play it well. Don't force them to do anything, and do not under any circumstances blackmail them. Just point out what is happening and let them complete the puzzle.
 
The car dealership I worked for had their domain expire about 5 years ago. Someone in China bought the URL and turned it into a porn site. They tried to get about $10,000 for it, but my owner told them to eat shit. He waited it out for three years until it expired and bought it back. We had a lot of fun when customers would come into the dealership and tell us about visiting the site.
 
OK.

If I had a brick and mortar business and someone pulled this scam on me, I would find them; I would drive, fly, ride a bus, take a ship, walk, bicycle; I would pay people to find them or do whatever I had to do to get to them and the chips would then fall wherever they fell.

This plan is not Blackhat; it is, if not criminal, certainly unethical as Hell and anyone who perpetrates this scam deserves whatever it is that they get.

And what they would get from me would not be be good and they would not like it.
 
this could work hands down no problems if you wanted to wait a year

your pitch can be that you have a talent for getting domain names as they drop, and that his domain is about to drop, you can even pitch them on how difficult it is to pick up an expiring domain, you just gotta close the deal before it expires, then transfer it to a new account etc.
