okay, so Ruck, I am reading up on some things and would love to pick your brain, but I want to start with something like this ebay affiliate craigs list thing....how would I automate this process so I don't sit here for 8 hours trying to make a couple hundred posts to CL....I need a CL poster..that is obvious, but what else...hum....

Well here's the thing. When I utilized Craigslist, I was running a legitimate SEO Firm from there. All the posts I had done for me were done manually, with exact Headlines and a variety of different text I had written up. Now I did happen to also use Craigslist briefly with images link to CPA and Affiliate Offers.

However, cruising around the forums I see the struggle to survive Craigslist greatly outweighs the people successful with it. This shouldn't put you off though as the success stories I have seen are normally in the $200-$400 dollar range. This is ok if your looking to build up some capital, but I think the main thing everybody wants is to pull as much as possible and as fast as possible.

I would advise to start a Craiglist Poster thread and ask from reviews and specifics from people here that are having success with it. I wouldn't expect to get specifics from them, but if you can decipher the information people will present, you will probably get a really good idea what sort of Autoposter is working.

I know there has to be one, as there was someone I know talking about it. I suffer a bit from information overload, so I can't even remember where it was said. If/when I find it, I will surely post it.

As for right now if your looking for some general information and success stories, I have a whole bunch of reading material I can zip up and upload for you. I would take the information very lightly though, as Craigslist tightens their reins everyday. Still, I know there are people making money with it, I can almost guarantee that if Harro is mentioning, then there are literally goldmines still available for the taking.

There is definitely money in craigslist. A big problem I've had and a lot of other people have had was being banned all the time. Luckily I have access to tons of computers and IP addresses in different areas. One of the fastest ways to get banned is using an image as your ad, keep it all text if you want it to last even a few minutes. Keep the links to a minimum. I think links set off a red flag. Try to do what you have to do through email. Like Harro said set up an autoresponder message, it's quick, it's easy and you get your message out there. Another suspected red flag of mine is having an [email protected] type of email. I've had more success with the generic emails like @yahoo, @aol, @hotmail, @gmail, @isp type of emails. These are just a few of my tips. As for automating. I've tried a couple of different automation options and they usually get you banned quickly.

I don't really use craigslist that much anymore so I'll throw some quick ideas out there if you want to get something custom programmed (these were ideas I had for a custom program I was going to have made). Basically I'd have a program where of course it would kill the captcha, a markov generator or at the very least a program that would force me to change the title and some of the words and paragraph structure (if it's a big ad) of every ad (because I want to post in every craigslist section not just my local one), it would force me to add several email addresses, several proxies, and not allow any images at all. Of course this is just what I think I'd need. Craigslist is crazy one day something works the next day every account you have gets banned. They are very aggressive and can change at the drop of a hat.

As soon as I read the post, the first thing that came up was can I do this in my country? Thanks for asking that Ruck! I think I am on to something here :)

Great post, I used to do something similar a while back, but then more profitable things came into play, I might get back into it, alot of money to be made with ebay.

I'm just getting started with a sightly different version.

(1) Search Craigslist wanted section for items the poster wants to buy. Stick w/hot, popular items over $100.
(2) Open up ebay's advanced search to find wanted item w/in 100 miles of poster's city/town.
(3) Take RSS feed from search & pop into Flex tool.
(4) Cloak link and reply to Craigslist poster with the link.

I think thats a good method for a more personalized approach, however I dont think you could do it fast enough to get the numbers to make as much money as an autoresponder would.....dont know...let us know how well it works.

Once i show you how to you will see sense and only want to promote the highest value items that will bring you the biggest amount of $$$$

Ofcourse you can promote the smaller priced auctions because this could lead to the refered user bidding on future auctions that are higher priced.

Don't ebay only pay you a percentage of the fees that sellers pay to setup an auction?

ebay also has a final value fee, for big ticket items. If you sell a car, ebay gets a bick cut of that so referring somebody who buys a car can potentially be worth hundreds or thousands.

Some good information here. I had never thought of using craiglist with ebay, it's a great idea and I think I might just give this a go.

Just wondering how most of you got by Craigslist? I have multiple emails set up. Each email handles a particular product. Different titles for my ads and different ad descriptions. Yet when I post them I never see them on CL.

I'm assuming its because CL sees that I am posting like 5 ads from the same email address. But how else would I do it?

Should I just specialize in one product and have multiple emails selling one product?

Like I said right now Im trying to sell 5 different products and each product has its own email address that I ask people to respond to and I auto-respond back.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

HaRRo great system. One question if I may.
Would I be able to advertise the link via Adwords instead of posting on CL and Gumtree?
It would be more in line with the fast traffic methods Ruck uses.

Thanks

Tried similar method and was earning big and CJ asked me about where I got my traffic. WHen I said email, they went further by asking about where I get the email and when I explained that it's GT, they booted me. Such a n00b I am, anybody ever got into trouble for doing this and what answer that you give to CJ?

Yea I feel your pain I too got booted from the cj network because they didn't like where my traffic was coming from. Mine was from an actual traffic company. They said they could tell from my refer stats to my page that it wasn't quality traffic. My cj offers were cpa's. This has been a couple of years ago.

If you get booted then your directly sending traffic from places they dont like, use a script like anonym.to or something thatll change referer urls. Then they shouldnt have any notion to ban you or evidence.

I saw something about this before but my main problem is register as affiliate on Ebay, they don't accept people outside US.

Do you know the way to bypass this problem? (i think this is a CJ's problem + ebay)

I'm not sending people to different links when I post on CL. My CL posts just ask people to email me if they want more information.

From there I auto-respond to emails with the link information.

Are you saying that CL can tell that I am auto-responding to emails and then take my post down? I thought that once I responded it went straight to the sender, not through CL again.

Or am I just not understanding...
