Make money from other peoples auctions!

I am going to start by saying you can make a great percentage on all of anything eBay makes on each and every auction that you send a winning bidder too

It is also a great idea too note that the higher the auction is the more money potential for you.

So given this take a look at a few of the better auctions to promote

And so on you really get the idea!

You will notice that the above auctions listed are usually high in demand and very highly priced, this means a larger potential to earn highly on the affiliate program as they give you a good percentage.

Once i show you how to you will see sense and only want to promote the highest value items that will bring you the biggest amount of $$$$

Ofcourse you can promote the smaller priced auctions because this could lead to the refered user bidding on future auctions that are higher priced.

Here is what you need to start

First sign up under the eBay affiliate program
Or you can quickly jump straight to http://cj.com (as this is what ebay uses now)

Secondly get plenty of use of the http://affiliates.ebay.com/odcs/custom.htm?template=FlexTool.
This tool allows you to direct your bidders/buyers whatever you wanna call them to the auctions of your choosing.
You simply add in your affiliate PID from http://cj.com , the page your want your visitors to land at, and then your customized text for the message.

We can now start attracting potential bidders

I started by posting an advert in http://www.craigslist.com, For those who want to can also use http://www.gumtree.com.

The advert read "Selling Diamond Platinum Engagement ring, 1 penny start... Email me for more information"

The emails started to come in fast, as this does attract people if in the right category, you can also check out product trends, or google trends, or even the top selling products on eBay, amazon whatever you want.

You can set up your email to be an autoresponder and use something along the words of "Thanks for mailing me, you can check out all, of the 1penny diamond rings at, then place your ebay affiliate link here. (http://affiliates.ebay.com/odcs/custom.htm?template=FlexTool)

You can use the flexible tool to promote anything, i mean anything!

You name it it can be sold!

But Whatever you decide to promote, you will earn money when a winning bidder that you refered wins an auction.

And it does not even matter if they dont win the auction you sent them too, ebay tracks them for 45 days so even if they dont win the one you sent them to today, they could win one in 45 days time and you still get credit.

Also if you refer a new member to eBay, you get $12 straight away!

So there you have it, you can also use this trick elsewhere, forums, classifieds, local classifieds, you can even use your own domain, and cloak the link at the same time, say you selling diamond rings, make your cloak mydomain.com/diamond-rings/ then future traffic there can be good, this works only with flexible tool pointing to a search result for diamond rings, not a live auction, as the auction will be over soon enough.

hi harro,

your method just the same with what i using now. one addition for this method, you need to select the item with buy it now or auction that going expired within few days, i would say approximately less than 4 day. this method will increase your conversion and make more money..

I am very familiar with the Ebay program but I have yet to get into it myself. So the idea is to link to an auction, or to anywhere? I don't affiliate market in the US (where I live) so a lot of the markets I jump in have often times 0-4 advertisers.

Having a look at this I see tons of potential and would probably wipe the network I currently utilize. I guess what I am asking is that the Ebay country affiliate program have these commission terms. (Does it change for each county?)

But when I go to this Ebay countries affiliate tools I now read that on March 7th, 2007 they have increased their monthly revenue share tiers to include Buy it nows.

So since I am a newb here what do you think would be more efficient in paid search. Buy it now, or auctions?

To answer a few of your Questions ruck here goes.

So the idea is to link to an auction, or to anywhere?
Yes you can link anywhere, use your ideas to fully profit, for example, something open like a link submission, you would link to the search results, with the buy it now onlys.

As for your other question does commision change with counties, yes in a way. Here is ebay.co.uk

Earn £7.00- £10.00 per Active Registration*, Between 25.0% and 50.0% of eBay.co.uk's revenue received on all winning Bids*,which includes "Buy-It-Nows"(BINs).

And for more affective in paid search, i would use product searches, for example apple iphone id link to the search results of iphones, and buy it now option only, with products from $250-$500 only, that would clear out all the accessories and unlock software etc... Linking to auctions only lasts a few days, so too much hard work in search.

Id link to auctions ending pretty soon for gumtree or craigslist ads though as this would rush the buyers to bid
 
I have made a couple of sales through a BANS site I haven't even promoted :p But only made a few £'s :p

Thanks for clearing it up. I thought that was the way it worked but I got to be sure. I have had a couple of mistakes dealing in foreign markets over the last week, and if I have another, I just might punch something.

Now the big question. Is their a software that will scan each countries Ebay base for products? Furthermore, this software needs to retrieve any affiliate listings for these countries from Ebay in the Google results?
 
Not to sure there Ruck, never used much software with it eBay promoting is not my main thing, i rarely use it on on cron ;)

I need software. A book will not accomplish what I need. Unless there's a hidden gem in there. I need a software that scans the Google Country paid listings and lets me know if there is an ebay affiliate url there. Otherwise I got to outbid and optimize my competition.

I try to write at least 250 ads every evening. This takes no longer than 10 minutes with the current affiliate network I use. I am trying to find a service close to the same.
 
you can used keyword elite to scan paid listing at any country you want. just put your keyword and that software will find it..but i would suggest brad latest software..affiliate elite..correct me if i wrong
 
I wish vBulletin had a slap feature installed, i would seriously over-use it right now :D

Thanks for the tip. It might have to do until I get something coded. But I seriously only do PPC for like 10 minutes a day. I write one ad, find 250 products and one click I see if there is already an affiliate url. But the tip is greatly appreciated, probably will cut down on a lot of time at least.
 
here is another manual technique to see google paid listing from other country. normally google won't allow you to access google from other country.

1) go to http://www.sitesurf.net and type the google url( i.e: www.google.co.uk or any country)

2) type your keyword in the search box and do the searching

3) after you see the paid listing, right click at the add and copy their link.

4) paste in note pad( in the link you might found the affiliate url )

5) monitor their ads for some time.

6) copy their ads and outbid him.

i done this method with amazon affiliate program. hope this will help..
 
Tried similar method and was earning big and CJ asked me about where I got my traffic. WHen I said email, they went further by asking about where I get the email and when I explained that it's GT, they booted me. Such a n00b I am, anybody ever got into trouble for doing this and what answer that you give to CJ?

I know a software which does this on Amazon but I have yet to see something which can accomplish this for ebay.
 
Does anyone know how to get the gmail autoresponder to work with craigslist? I've tried a similar method in the past, but the vacation autoresponder won't reply to emails coming from craigslist.
