Make money with eBay affiliate.

I saw something about this before but my main problem is register as affiliate on Ebay, they don't accept people outside US.

Do you know the way to bypass this problem? (i think this is a CJ's problem + ebay)

you can try ebay.co.uk i think you will got accept

Right now I have a niche store setup, but not getting the traffic. Zero sales and dismal hits. Next step is to integrate my store into a portal page where there is new content (blogs, news, etc.) being posted regularly and to create more of a membership site than store alone. Something like Tiramisu has alluded to.

Does anyone know how to get the gmail autoresponder to work with craigslist? I've tried a similar method in the past, but the vacation autoresponder won't reply to emails coming from craigslist.

I think that Gmail will only vacation respond once to an email address. I have not throughly tested this theory, but try using a different email address to send an email to your vacation Gmail address.

I have found that Yahoo vacation email limits the response email to 10 lines. If this is unacceptable, Gmail allows more. I do not know at this time what the maximum is.

awesome thread guys thanks a lot.

I'm starting to implement this stuff as we speak, I'll get back with results.

It works well if the user wants the product so bad, you can also use it in wanted sections, email them and say ive seen the product your after paste them the link via email.

Even if they dont buy, you have a good chance they might sign up to ebay, if they are a member place a bid, and your cookie stays with them for a good 45 days i believe.

You can also do the same with buy, amazon, and others, use your imagination :)

They will click because they are curious about the product no matter what :)

I heard google turned-off the vacation message autoresponser in gmail specifically to craigslist ad replys because of this tactic but yahoo still works...anyone verify this?

HaRRo and freinds

Need your suggestion and advice...
Being very new to the eBay marketing niche and understanding its wide possibilities I would like to get started.
Using BANS, WPAuctionMaster software, and other means (marketing ideas and tools) I discovered In this GREAT GREATforum I am all anxious to start doing some work.

Thing is I was not accepted to the "Global eBay" program which I applied for and which seems most appropiate for someone that does not live in the States but somewhere in the Middle East.

I know that when I applied for the program, I gave all the most relevant information they required including very WH websites i built and own - to show for.

I have no idea why my application declined.

(I sent them a mail Yesterday asking for explanations.
Hope they will be kind enough and respond....)

Anyway..I was accepted to the eBay UK program a while back and iI wonder....(again, beeing very new to the subject..):

1.Is it and how can I, IF at all, effectively utilize the tools and marketing avenues described in the forum - When I am limited to Ebay UK only.

2.Is being connected to eBay UK only - really a limitation?

Appreciate any insight and suggestions you may hve.

What if say someone goes to your site and clicks an expired auction you linked to at one point. Im assuming your tracker gets carried and just hope they bid something else?

The cookie still works just the same as usual. As long as it is an ebay page it will work!

I'm glad this old thread was revitalized. I made a page using ebay editor and I think what's good on that is that it will always show what's new. Does the flex tool do that? Is CL the best place to do this or do other classified sites bring in responses? I know backpage does well in google so maybe that would be a way to get organic traffic too.

Any other classified ads or other listing you use...great post by the way, thanks sent

Make money with eBay affiliate program

Make money from other peoples auctions!

I am going to start by saying you can make a great percentage on all of anything eBay makes on each and every auction that you send a winning bidder too

It is also a great idea too note that the higher the auction is the more money potential for you.

So given this take a look at a few of the better auctions to promote

Corvette Auctions
Diamond Ring Auctions
Real Estate Auctions
Airline Ticket Auctions

And so on you really get the idea!

You will notice that the above auctions listed are usually high in demand and very highly priced, this means a larger potential to earn highly on the affiliate program as they give you a good percentage.

Once i show you how to you will see sense and only want to promote the highest value items that will bring you the biggest amount of $$$$

Ofcourse you can promote the smaller priced auctions because this could lead to the refered user bidding on future auctions that are higher priced.

Here is what you need to start

First sign up under the eBay affiliate program
Or you can quickly jump straight to cj.com (as this is what ebay uses now)

Secondly get plenty of use of the ebays flexible destination tool.
This tool allows you to direct your bidders/buyers whatever you wanna call them to the auctions of your choosing.
You simply add in your affiliate PID from CJ.com , the page your want your visitors to land at, and then your customized text for the message.

We can now start attracting potential bidders

I started by posting an advert in Craiglist.com, For those who want to can also use gumtree.com.

The advert read "Selling Diamond Platinum Engagement ring, 1 penny start... Email me for more information"

The emails started to come in fast, as this does attract people if in the right category, you can also check out product trends, or google trends, or even the top selling products on eBay, amazon whatever you want.

You can set up your email to be an autoresponder and use something along the words of "Thanks for mailing me, you can check out all, of the 1penny diamond rings at, then place your ebay affiliate link here. (The flexible destination link)

You can use the flexible tool to promote anything, i mean anything!

For example

domain name auctions

Some turnkey websites

You name it it can be sold!

But Whatever you decide to promote, you will earn money when a winning bidder that you refered wins an auction.

And it does not even matter if they dont win the auction you sent them too, ebay tracks them for 45 days so even if they dont win the one you sent them to today, they could win one in 45 days time and you still get credit.

Also if you refer a new member to eBay, you get $12 straight away!

So there you have it, you can also use this trick elsewhere, forums, classifieds, local classifieds, you can even use your own domain, and cloak the link at the same time, say you selling diamond rings, make your cloak mydomain.com/diamond-rings/ then future traffic there can be good, this works only with flexible tool pointing to a search result for diamond rings, not a live auction, as the auction will be over soon enough.

Use your brains! :)

Hope i make sense :D

Does ebay or cj have a problem with a link in an autoresonder with one's affil id? Is it better to cloak link.

Also: "this works only with flexible tool pointing to a search result for diamond rings, not a live auction, as the auction will be over soon enough.

This means to send them to the category so that way there won't be any expiriation? I have done this only using the ebay editor. Is the flexible tool better to use? Also I know with the editor that you can get a lot of irrelevant results as well.

Great thread.

is anybody know if I can still use PID from cj.com to promote ebay affiliate?
I heard that eBay and CJ.com took apart.

Does ebay ban you if they find out you're using craigslist for clicks and earnings?

ebay won't ban you for using craigslist.
however, posting affiliate links in craigslist is against their tos.
in fact, if you read it, it says they can seek monetary damages against you for putting affiliate links on craigslist.
never seen it happen, but they do have that clause.

I thought CJ wasn't on board the eBay wagon anymore...Wasn't that the whole reason EPN was created? Also, does this work with Pepperjam?

cj isnt...the original post was a few months ago. its all epn now with a little pj...but its worse than epn i think...lol
