I would agree more cybersecurity will probably come more but even if that does happen to me all that will happen is scammers will become more intelligent so will always be kind of like cat and mouse game for the cat trying to catch the mouse being the Cybersecurity person and the mouse being the scammers

Referral marketing and affiliate marketing are legal as you said but MLM is a great pathway for ponzi, because here the end-user also forced to be a marketer.
 
Is anyone old enough to remember the old chain letters in the post?

There would be a list of 5 names, you sent money to the top one or something then added your name to the list and mail it to a few people.

As a boy of about 10 my dad used to get a few each year. One time I convinced him to send a fiver i think it was and send some letters on. Every day at school for a few weeks I’d be wondering whether any money would come.

Each time I got home I would check the post but nothing. I gave up wondering after a few weeks and realised dad was right. They were just a bunch of scamming fuckers.
