I wont mention it but I just stumbled on a pyramid scheme crypto and... oh boy...

People fall for it like mosquitoes with a little bit of blood.

I was thinking more about ponzi schemes lately and...

We are all here to win money online and hopefully in a legit manner but I can't believe how some people win money fast with get rich quick schemes.

40 years ago it was betting organisations, now it's cryptos or internet marketing organisations.

Why is it that these ponzi schemes work amazingly well, if you want to win money fast and you are ready to go to jail to become rich QUICK you can do 2 things.

1. rob a bank
2. create a ponzi

Why it works? people are lazy and want to have money come from the sky without doing any work at all. I am pretty sure the 2 things I just mentioned was also executed by lazy people in the first place.

my questions :

1.Is internet marketing becoming a get quick rich scheme and as legit as it is when you learn it properly, will be labelled as a scam on future or in a digital first world, everybody will be aware about all the scams online?
2.Why are government so fucking slow to put laws on all these disguised get quick rich ponzi scheme? It's a freaking jungle on the internet, everybody can create courses on whatever they want. I can do a therapy course and sell it without legal actions, this is ...wrong...

Ponzi scheme in most countries is equal to jail. Sooner or later. Not really worth the price.

yep it was my point, it's impossible to get rich quick, but on internet we believe it is and I was the first one with this belief.

Building a business which makes you rich takes years, whatever the business is.

Because you have to build a real business and it takes years... 95% of businesses online don't last more than 2 years, same as offline and I would say even more online. It's hard, it's not easy and it's not quick. And the myth of the "solopreneur" is... a lie, you can't do everything yourself. You need to have a team or outsource. You can't be great at everything, choose one skill and master it and outsource the other things your business needs and outsource it wisely, if you can have a team in-house it's better, they are trained and know your audience, which is key, if you don't understand your audience perfectly you will fail.

True, and you know it very well with email marketing, I don't want you to say things you shouldn't but selling an email marketing offer(as good as it probably is) is a very good move from you because email marketing still is the highest ROI channel, good to sell shovels with this :D
 
It really depends if you have an edge or not. There are some that become rich quick and there are some that lose money. Its just how it works

My take is MLM, referral marketing and affiliate marketing are legal, you may be confusing them with ponzi.

The discussion was about ponzi schemes in general. search a bit on the internet and you will easily find Ponzi schemes, I will not advertise illegal stuff, we are not allow to speak about illegal stuff here.

MLM are somewhat legal even if many MLM were taken down because they were Ponzi schemes, referral marketing and affiliates are legal you are right.

I would agree with what you are saying mostly

Here is why in general new scams are invented every day of the week for example say everyday of the week 10 more scams invented so for each week then in theory 10*7=70 new scams meaning in theory the government would have to monitor things 24/7 which should cost giant money so probably not happen.

You can include as well quite a lot of politicians as well actually invest in scams or get paid by them to scam people I doubt many politicians would screw over some of their money sources plus many politicians our often lazy or selfish so probably don't care much.

Good point I agree, but I think it will change in the coming years, I don't know how but internet will be tracked a lot more with cybersecurity and cybercontrol much more efficient, it's too much of a jungle

The internet is largely like the wild west.

First it was a free for all with no real rules, now we are in the robber baron phase!
