This came about because I was wanting to buy some gym equipment, went to the website and couldn't find a buy now button. It's for newer folks really.

When you are in business for yourself, even a home based business and you are looking for how to make your leads actually buy, there are a few things you need to think about.

One of them is that you have to make it easy for people to buy from you.

This is one of the main reasons why some people in business fail. They make it impossible to actually buy things.

Take some websites. I?ve been onto some that you just cannot find a way to buy. The information is hidden or there will be no way at all to get what I wanted!

This is really simple. It?s just a matter of a couple of clicks in the back office of your site to add a little ?buy now? button.

I?m in the online marketing niche so the examples here will be along those lines.

Basically - You have an autoresponder account. You make a capture page giving away something for free that provides value for whatever niche you are in. SEO tips, sales tips, Facebook tips, free video etc.

Then you send people to your website by marketing in magazines, online advertising on websites in your niche, solo ads, newspaper adverts etc. Or through social syndication which is free or relatively inexpensive. Don't buy advertising unless you are okay with losing the money!! Paid advertising is a different beast altogether and can make you broke if you don't know what you're doing.

The people go to your website and see some good information about your products or services and see that you have an opt in box on the side panel.

For example: ?Free video: Learn 3 things that most people don?t know about marketing online.?

They then give an email address and click submit. They are then taken to a thank you page where they are given a chance to learn more about what you are selling and you tell them that the link to the free video will be in their email inbox in the next 5 minutes. Or just send them to the free video.

Either way, you have their email address that allows you to follow up with them so they get to know you and then you can provide more information and the ability for them to buy from you.

You can send them to your blog (I?m a blogger and it is a great way for people to get to know you through the info and videos you can embed on your site) and then have a call to action on your blog after each piece of content.

E.G. If you got value from that, I can help you to get more home business leads in a short period of time and at little or no cost. Click here.

Then send them to a sales page or sales video.

Don?t make it hard for someone to buy from you, business is difficult sometimes as it is. Make it as easy as possible or they?ll just go somewhere else and buy from somewhere where it is easy to buy.

Memorise your website and purchase page links. Have it on your business cards.

So, when someone says that they want to buy or are interested in what you do, you can tell them exactly where to go for more information or to buy.

Paypal make it easy to set up a buy button. You can set it up in minutes and then just send your leads to a sales page on your site from your email marketing or video marketing or whatever marketing you do. Just make it easy for them. Link to your sales page or opt in page from every page in your site with a simple call to action?

Go here to buy XYZ. Or, click here to get XYZ.

Hope you got some value from that and any ideas for calls to action and other comments are greatly appreciated.
