Because of the incredible amount of people creating new groups daily rather than referring to already existing ones, the Instagram section became a spam hole with a high lack of actual useful information.
It used to be okay few months ago, but now we have got to a point where there aren't even valuable threads anymore, and those few helpful discussions get trashed and forgotten under all those new groups.
So please let's work together to help this section:
1st: go to this thread and show your support to make a subsection -> PLEASE HELP US HERE
2nd: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT create new groups unless you're willing to keep them updated, bear in mind that managing one it's not as easy as it looks.
Everyday I stumble upon new groups operated by people that have no idea how to handle one and those groups die within 3-4 days (pointless uh?). However, those threads keep staying up as new people willing to join their respective groups (which are already over) will still reply to them, even if the OP is not active anymore, and this leads me to my last point.
3rd: CHECK THE DATE! Why would even think a group is still active when the last reply from OP is from one month ago or more? As I said these groups, which in most cases are managed by people that have no idea how to handle them tend to die in a few days/weeks.
Let's keep this up and do something good for this section as here is where I discovered most of the stuff I know about Instagram and it's unfortunate to see it getting trashed like this.
In short: go here , do NOT create new groups and check the date before replying to any discussion!
