I have 2 domains, that have domain.tld/page/ as their front page. I've setup 301 redirects from root to that page and changed all the internal links. Why Google is ignoring this and still showing the root in the serps? Other domain never had the root indexed.

It may take a while for the spiders to run your updates, depending on how many links your have to your page.

Give spiders some more time. Depending on how often they visit and index your site this may take up to a week.

I have noticed from last 2-3 month, all 301 links which already indexed on google shows the same link in SERP but when you look at cache it shows redirected page there. IDK Why.

how much time has passed?

For the other one (which I first indexed using root as homepage and then changed it to inner page) it's been a bit over month. For the other one I used inner page from the start (although it had some basic GoDaddy page indexed in root), but that's been only bit over a week.

You think I just need to wait more or what's the problem here?
