I've been browsing around craigslist for a while now, and stumbled across a few different (HTML) CL ad's...

How the hell can I make up an HTML ad ??

My (normal) ads are getting ghosted... if I write them a certain way... SO, I'm gonna make every one different!!! :D

Help me out.... somebody!!

Boosey,
The best advice I can give you is do a view source on the html ads that you saw. See what they are doing and track the ads to see which ones are sticking day to day. Then just copy what they do.

That's how I got my ads to stick because I knew these people were doing something right. Eventually you can get several different ways to post ads by just following the ones you see every day.

Ghosting can come from a few different things with IP address, and similar ads being the top ones. So yes, the more unique the ads and IP's the less ghosting.

Ezcion has a point. Just use what is already working.

Alternatively you could just open up MS Front Page or some other HTML editor, write your AD in the Word style tab and copy your HTML code. This of course doesn't offer any protection from ghosting or insight into what is causing the ghosting.

I suppose the best advice is to just keep on spinning the AD until you can make it stick. Than figure out what is making it stick and base your new HTML ads off that.

What section are you posting these in?
That would make a bit of a difference as well.

Awesome!! Good idea!!

I was thinkin about making them into Photobucket ads :D... you know what I mean??!!

That's another good way to do it.

Just make your AD, save it as a picture file and upload it to photobucket or imageshack.

Upload it about 50 times, each time changing the file name into a lot of random character so you get a unique URL each post and CL is none-the-wiser :D

ie. photobucket.com/images/uibgv9783g9g8has213.jpg
photobucket.com/images/bfh8927vbgtvasss1226246.jpg
photobucket.com/images/tt0amcvbbq8120oskdlch829K.jpg

That will do it!
