Make easy money with MEMLOL...

Well sadly, this is what i think also.
Video sites are not accepted anymore so picture sites will get the same result.

Any ideas on how to monetize this GREAT SHARE by the way. I was about to play with it when i saw your adsense warning !
Indeed, lack of content is one the major reason for getting a slap on the fingers.

Yeah the share is golden, it is up to you to do the twist.

I really think it isn't advisable to monetize this kind of site by adsense at first. The case is different however when you get the impressions rolling high enough. Just look at 9gag.

Just out of curiosity, what are the cpc and ctr like when using adsense? I would imagine both would be really low. Sounds like a fun idea, im gonna give it a shot

All the ads im getting are just related to what I search, so i guess it varies

How can we get such a site approved with adsense? Never?
Any alternatives?

Anyone get the grabber/cron working right? Mine sends me an email saying it's done the cron and there's a good number of posts in there, but they are nowhere to be found on my site. I've checked the pending status for posts and they are not there either. I've modified the settings.php to have the grabber set to autoapprove: yes.

My cron job looks like this:

php /home/myusername/public_html/mysite.com/grabber/grabber.php start

Is this correct?

try putting path to php like
/usr/local/bin/php - f /home/myusername/public_html/mysite.com/grabber/grabber.php start

ask ur hosting company fro the correct php path

Ok, i also have a question. I upload a picture like funny-drunk-cat.jpg and it turns it to 409328409329jfdso0 instead..

Does anyone know how to prevent this change?

Thanks Misulicus, I tried it like that but my email reports say:

/bin/sh: usr/local/bin/php: No such file or directory

I just emailed my host, hopefully they get back to me soon.

dejanlesi, look back at IMpossible's posts... he had a problem like this

ok, for anyone having problems with the title of their site displaying as as "site title - yoursite.com", edit your metas.php file.

the code looks like this:

$maintitle = "Title Here - " . $sitename;

edit it to look like this:

$maintitle = "yoursite.com";

Hmm, I'm getting "Notice: Undefined index: section in classes\tbs_class_php5.php on line 2 Nice Try!!!" when I try to post something :/. Tried to hide the error with <?php error_reporting (E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE); ?> but not possible to post something...

php /home/-/public_html/grabber.php start

I'm having trouble getting facebook integrated with the site now. I'm not that into facebook, and have never really created a fan page. I set up a new FB account under a random name, then created a page for a fan page website. However, every time I enter my facebook fan page url into the site, it recognizes me as the random name i chose when joining FB, not the fan page name. it says to switch back to the user i don't want shown on the site to use this social plugin. i click on this area and then it gives me an error.

If anyone else has gotten this to work, please let me know what you did.

*edit

Got it... don't use your url for a page like this: http://www.facebook.com/pages/yoursite/330396287041195

you need to create a custom user name for your site and link to that... http://www.facebook.com/yoursite

How does your FB link look like? It has to look like this: facebook.com/pages/YOUR-FB-PAGE-NAME/number (something like 49299283174)

Check that out.

LOL, now we are having the opposite problems again. Mine didn't work like that, it needed to be just facebook.com/yourpagename not the long link!
