The thought came to me the other day, as I was brainstorming new ways to make money with the least amount of work (sort of autopilot) and I came up with an idea (probably been done already). But my idea was, what if I posted someone's fiverr gig to various classified sites, claiming to perform their service for double or tripe the price? And then when someone interested emails me, I pay the original person on fiverr to do the work and I collect the middle man earnings for triple or double the price. Of course the two parties involved wouldn't know I'm the middle man. Any thoughts/opinions on thinking how this could work, just to make a few extra bucks on the side?

this is being done quite a bit... even here on BHW (combining different fiverr gigs and upselling them)
good method, could work

I'm gonna try and implement this and see where I get.

OP, does arbitrage ring a bell to you? one of the oldest trick in the book

method could work/is working of course, you just need to find decent providers

btw welcome on bhw :)

this is basically called arbitrage and you can do it wherever you have two different prices for the same product or work on two different marketplaces. just buy it at the cheaper marketplace and sell at the marketplace where you can get a higher price.

why do you not make a website where you offer different services for webdesign or seo or whatever service and try to get some clients. then you give all of the work to some cheap freelancers, preferably from india or east europe and you invoice your clients for the work they do....

Thanks, your opinions are all appreciated, but I have to get my skills up first, as I am a newbie :yeah:

Yes OP, a lot of people are already doing this. Just make sure that the Fiverr seller you use is reliable (i.e. has lots of feedback), and also note down a few other sellers in hand in case your main seller suspends his gig (because he went on holiday or got overloaded). Then you won't default on your clients if your main seller disappears.

I do this all the time.

I take gigs from fiverr and place them on gigbucks for 2x the price.

Doesnt really work because both websites are dead.

Now if you could just write a script to literally do all the interaction and ordering work for you my friend you'd be golden...

Although I haven't tried to arbitrage fiverr using gigbucks, I would've thought that people who know about gigbucks would probably also know what fiverr is and will therefore check fiverr first and find the same gig for cheaper... Which would eliminate/reduce the information asymmetry required to pull off this particular arbitrage.

Gigbucks is dead. Fiverr is up and running. High in traffic and the activities are crazy.

It's a good business model. But the trial and error with reliable providers would worry me. 5 bucks over and over might be a little taxing if you keep hiring idiots on accident.
