if they cant answer a basic pre-sale question in 24 hours, ill move on. slow replies before payment usually turn into even worse support after payment. learnt the hard way more than once. alot of sellers are just middlemen running too many orders at once so the delay is often a capacity problem , not a one off bad day. ask one specific technical question early, if the answer is vague or delayed, that usually tells u everything

I have encountered people like you on Fiverr more times than I can remember
Most sellers here also have experience dealing with problematic clients

All I need is that if we agree to terms when those terms are fulfilled. Nothing more.
From now on my go to is definitely Fiverr, from 50+ orders never a problem. Some stuff isn't allowed to be sold there I think so on those things I'm stuck with BHW guys
Btw closed a deal for the same service with 2 other guys TODAY, in 1 day. All paid and started...

what I am saying is that the dynamic between "buyer-seller" should be more like a collaboration rather than "slave-master" approach
delays can happen (more often than you imagine)
some people have part time jobs
some people have other projects
etc
look at the activity on this forum, do you think the sellers here can make a full time living just from staying here?
that's why they are not checking messages every single minute because they are probably busy working on other revenue streams
terms can change mid-project (for technical reasons or not)
things like this are happening all the time
but that doesn't mean someone is scamming you or whatever
in conclusion: if you treat people well, you will be treated well
