Make BAT by using Brave Browser

Joined their Telegram, What should I ask them? To enable some features on my end?? What did you say?

C'mon man you don't want me to spoon feed you right? You don't know what to ask? Seriously?

Perhaps it’s not possible with Firefox? Doesn't it require Firefox Account for sync?

Question:
I went to the https://batgrowth.com/publishers
and found some links to various sites. However no ads popped up, but turned off the blocking then I saw the ads... how do I know which sites are paying? what settings do I turn onto allowed for paid advertisement ?

Yesterday they sent me about U$ 5 in BAT. I'm not really counting right now, I'm just using Brave instead of Chrome, especially for its privacy functions and ad blocking. Whatever comes off of it is a bonus. Chrome pays you nothing and collects your private data.
yeah but whats the average you think? do you think this can be abused?

I'm sure someone will try to abuse, but they have put in limits or something to prevent abuse. And they have an abuse prevention team. Not sure hwo that works.

I know that but it`s not showing on my end Firefox.

It is possible with firefox, I did it myself.

Perhaps you used a different operating system user account? It should find your firefox profile on the default location for import.

There's a discussion about this on their telegram right now. Advertisers are selecting geolocations for their ads. Some folks in different countries are seeing different number of ads. As the number of advertisers increases, so will the number of ads shown.

Remember only beta testers and developers use the DEV browser right now. Imagine this in production in the coming weeks.

You're in the very early stages, that's whay it's easy to make lots of BAT right now. When it becomes hard, BAT will be worth tons more. Supply/demand.

Only way to abuse it that I can see is to use autobrowse extension and lie to the browser that it is in focus. That's ad fraud like any other ad network though, nothing new and could land you in jail for any ad program not particularly the Brave program.

Anything that can be defrauded on other ad networks can be done here. It's still fraud and carries penalties.

But isnt it anonymous where you store your BAT? how can they track you?

FYI - The Brave ads that earn BAT are displayed as browser notifications. The maximum number of these ads you may see per hour is five. You earn 0.05 BAT per ad notification displayed. Right now you earn $0.01 per ad.

However, their referral program pays $5 in BAT for every person who installs and uses the browser.

If you are a member of Coinbase, join the wait list to earn up to $10 in BAT.

It's CPM for the time being as far as I can tell. I haven't researched on how to publish ads, I've only looked at the user side.
in short how do i know how much i get for whatever action i do like watching ads or clicking ads ?

Brave Rewards doesn't work that way. Ad notifications appear randomly when you are online. The ads are not based on CPM or CPC. You earn BAT when a notification appears on the screen.

See my post above for what you will earn.

The browser has a built-in wallet that is generated at install time. It is anonymous, the address generated is random. When the ad is shown, the BAT is deposited on your browser wallet address.

Where did you find this 0.05 BAT amount? They sent me 25 BAT for something, I don't know whether it was the browsing or the publisher payment. If the 25 BAT was for seeing ads then I would've had to see over 500 ads, I don't think I saw that many.

I would like to know so too.

Ok, it's time to start some viral article

Imagine what'll happen if BHW'ers make BAT viral, it'll multiply in price. That's why I think BAT is gonna be a hit.

It't right there on your Brave Rewards page from the icon in the address bar. There is the current earnings for the month and total ad notifications received.

Did you get in on a promotion of some kind early on?

you can't even sign up to publisher program, too many errors.

The Brave Rewards page had some errors this morning. The page appears to be loading now.

yes, but this must be removed from wiki:

"in June 2018, Brave released a pay to surf testing version of the browser. This version of Brave is preloaded with approximately 250 ads, and sends a detailed log of the user's browsing activity to Brave for the short-term purpose of testing this functionality."

This seems nice but im not able to see any ads.

I installed the dev version, and have been browsing for a while now and havent seen any type of ads.

Is this only for US at the moment?

Thanks
