but when you are doing this, inform you affiliate manager you will be getting a lot of sign ups from the same area. some will ok it, some won`t. but hey, there are enough out there to choose from just get one who is ok with it...
why risk not getting payment, just clear it with your AM upfront. it can save you a big headache.
some merchants are afraid of offline advertising for some reason, and will cann you for that reason, and in that case, obviously won`t pay..
just find a merchant who gives the ok for it. That way, as long as your leads are real, there won`t be a problem...

you just need to go out there and talk to real people.. try to get to the students who are working there for 5 bucks an hour to pay for school or booze and offer them a cut of the sales they generate. they will push your offer like crazy.

for the gas card cpa. why don`t flyer every car at the parking lots in you neighborhood.. everyone with a car is a targeted prospect.

Flyers for free Laptops/iTouch (email submits) at Colleges and Schools

Business Cards (Best Buy Gift Cards, etc) at Fast Food Restaurants, Pizza Places, Convenience Stores.

(Gas, Sports Stuff, Electronics) at Parks, Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts, Baseball Fields, Football Fields.

Uggs Boots email submit, Highschools

Could going door to door with an offer such as this give you a much wider audience base than doing it only at a gas station?

Seeing as I'm not livin' in the US and can't find any offers for gas, I'm going to find something else and see if I can make anythin out of it.

Alright, I think the idea I have might beat out the gas station one altogether.

Get a bunch of stickers and put a link to a free dunkins donuts giftcard emailer submit on them..

go through the drivethru at as many dunkin donuts' as you can find and put the sticker under the window, simple enough, eh?

this can be done anywhere there is a drive thru!

THAT'S FUCKING BRILLIANT! I'M DOING THIS. OMG OMG OMG OMG. You realize this won't last that long, but it will be extremely profitable while it does.

But no method beats another method out, the Gas one is great because it's long term. No methods beat other methods out, it's about doing a shitload of them. As many of them as you can....
 
mistablackhat00 - awesome! Talk about a captive audience. Honestly, if you sue the Dunkin Donuts log and have the sticker professionally printed (not a cheap laser/ink jet printer) it would probably stay up for a long time. Store workers, even the store manager, would just assume it came from the corporate office.

epic idea! the only small issue is that the branded petrol stations may not be up for this as much as the sole proprietor ones!

You could also stick the gas pumps using "pressables" that way if someone were to get really pissed off they can always just peel it right off. It's not a business card or a leaf let but you could put a phone number on the sticker saying "save this #/url" then when they call the number tell them to get ready and right down their url and further say anything that will boost conversions!
