Make $400 a day, its easy..

I may give this a try sometime, thanks

Are you serious? This entire thread the OP has expressed his utter pain and the utter failure of these methods. What exactly did you read that you are going to give a try?

Just out of curiosity, what kind of content are on your sites that you're sending junk traffic to? Did you make these sites yourself or you bought them?

is 90% spun crap articles , 10% I paid gooses on odesk to write, re write, mostly unreadable,

I found the trick is to tell the writer what sort of voice you want, the best I got was when I asked for the voice of a angry arrogant English man who puts down the reader, very funny

Then I started putting my own list squeeze pages, rewriting plr, writing my own copy for lame software, writing for launches,

wow I must really suck, the more I write the more I see I have done, oh its so good to build up my "experience"

if anyone has any failure stories then now is the time to tell

There is no way google would be sending you thousand dollar checks by getting junk traffic like that. They first review your site before sending money.

Yea and you should have reviewed the thread

Love your post greyhatter. I feel your pain. Totally.

to earn money from the internet with 4 digits every month, it's just simple, if you have skill, then you might be earn that much, if not, then i guess u need some staff to help you then earn 7 digits every month

i made it! After earning about 2bucks a day with a microsites about a keyword which gets about 1200 exact searches a month, and traffic only coming from google, i tried to scale it up. I found 2 cool keywords. one with 110 000 exact searches, the other one with 64 000 exact seaches each month. I worked very hard for about 2 Month to get into the top ten aaand ... I made it! Im at place 5 for the keyword with 110 000 exact and on spot 6 for the keyword with 64 000 searches. I thought i would get between 50 and 100 visitors a day with such rankings.

and what now. I gain 2 visitors a day for the first page and about 15 for the other one. Im distracted and i think i should quit. What a crap. Google lies at me :( and after my only real money site which made about 2 bucks a day got sandboxed i make about 1 dollar a week from those 3 sites. I dont know.. were is the problem... can Google Keyword tool be that wrong? maybe its just the sun which stops the peolple googleling and the succes comes in winter or so... anyone made similiar experiences?

BTW those keywords are really good money keywords, and yes im really in the top ten, i checked it with every tool available :(

Failure sucks, but everyone who succeeds has had their share... remember that.

My one success was a JV that brought in high $XXX/day for a week or two, and mid to low $XXX/day for a few months. The money stream has since dried up as of a month or two ago, but we cashed out pretty well.

How did it make money? Here are some general points you can apply to any method:

  • The method was unique. I got it from mixing up different methods off BHW. Use what you read as blueprints, but make your own method.
  • Test the method manually to determine potential. The market was fresh and the method seemed very profitable.
  • Scale it big and automate. Sit back, do nothing, and watch $$$ roll in daily (my favorite step) :D
What killed it:

  • Once people start selling new software that use your traffic source, expect massive profit cuts. :(
  • Once the traffic source becomes saturated, it becomes much less profitable and possibly more pain than it's worth.
  • Lack of motivation. This was not a long-term money maker, the method was blackhat, and it sucks waiting for someone to bust you.
  • Combine the above 3 and it's time to move on.
Anyways, onto the failures:

1. Web proxy sites

This is how I first started making money online. I felt like such a baller going from $5/day to $10/day and eventually to about $35/day with Adsense before I was struck down by the mighty banhammer. The big problem? My retarded approach to scaling. Instead of making a couple of great sites, I spammed out hundreds of shitty sites to take advantage of some spammy traffic sources. The market also sucked... my best proxy was in Alexa top 100,000 but the best traffic days in my network brought tens of thousands of pageviews all for very meager earnings.

2. Micro niche sites

More like micro shit sites. But I'm sure if you do these well, as in make them actual non-MFA sites, they can pay off...

For my first attempt, I picked terrible non-product keywords just because of low keyword competition which led to low $/click as expected. After coming up with a better batch of keywords, I put up 3 pages of content at most on each site and let them sit there without doing any real link-building effort or adding new content.

Over a couple months, the sites slipped and now most of them are either playing in the sandbox or jerking off in double-digit land. End result - about 50 worthless sites and domains. My best day - about $10.

Some problems were that I didn't want to put more content up until I saw better earnings, the links I built from my automated methods didn't help, and manual link-building is so damn boring. None of my sites were good enough to justify any paid or manual link-building effort.

But I think the biggest problem was that I didn't care at all about the stupid topics of any of the sites. I would've put more time into at least a couple of them if I thought the topics were remotely interesting. Unfortunately, I took a set-and-forget approach which didn't work out since the sites were crappy from the start.

3. Various software

As a programmer, I felt the need to create everything myself from the start, just so I can have things work the way I want to. That resulted in me making lots of things I may not end up even using, and wasting time worrying about stuff like the site layout and new features for a CMS when content is what really matters.

That led to me spending most of my time programming and not making money. And then the project fails. I would've failed a lot quicker, learned a lot faster, and wasted a lot less time had I just used what's already out there from the start. And if things looked good, could've always made my own stuff to solve my problems later.

Some lessons learned:

  • Do everything manually at first. Only worry about scaling and automating if there's potential.
  • Don't waste time making what others have already made unless you really really need to. Use what's out there at first. Time == money.
  • It's very hard to do something you don't want to do. Try finding a project you're passionate about.
  • Don't spread yourself thin. Focus on doing one or two things and doing them well.
  • Quality >> quantity. If you want to make sites, make a couple of great ones. Ditch the idea of 100x $1/day sites.
  • There's no magic bullet. Success comes from hard work, and conquering all the problems you face, one of which is wanting to give up.
And most importantly:
Learn from your failures and from the failures of others. If you don't do this, you will NEVER succeed

Maybe one day, you'll be relaxing on a beach in Hawaii, drinking margaritas and enjoying the fresh summer breeze and warm midday sun. And then continue living your life of freedom doing whatever you want because nothing is holding you back. That's a rare kind of lifestyle that few people will ever live up to, but IM is one avenue where it's actually within reach. Good luck!

now that sounds, good - also just paying my expenses and working 8 hour days would be nice..

The easiest way to make money online is to learn a skill which solves someone else's problem.

Check your business model. Do you relieve someone's tension?

I am successful with this method:

Pick a CPA product > promote it > focus doing this one thing and don't go into other niches.

Sadly, it's a fact that a huge percentage of people hate what they do for a
living. Equally sad, is those people feel they have no choice but to continue doing what they've always done. What a rut to be in. You have options. Changing things is one of the hardest things to do because even doing what you dislike is part of your comfort zone.

We've all had low points in our careers. Turning it around so you can be
successful and feel great about yourself takes a 180 degree change, and then a lot of focused work. But first, IMHO you have to clean the slate. Start over. Take off. Really! Jump in your car, hop a train or plane and go somewhere else for awhile. It might be for 2 days or 2 years. Get a change of scenery. Do something else so you can get some perspective.
You need a vacation. Being burned out and knowing it means you need a big change. You might find something else to do, and that will give you some needed perspective. You might get lucky and find something you love and it could change your life and your attitude. Failing is so important to your success, but don't ever think of it as personal failure. It's a necessary step in the process of being successful. The only people who have never failed, have never tried anything! You're the only person who can figure out what you enjoy, what you want, and what's important to you. Find out what you love. Success follows. Good luck!

Well, this is the most interesting thread I've read anywhere for a long time.

Im a newbie to IM, I mean to serious IM entrepreneurship. I had my 100$/month adsense earnings a few years ago but scaling this way was not the direction I wanted to go : making bad dreams every night about google cancelling my account. Instead, I recently took the opportunity to try IM full time. So, sending traffic to a website promoting CPA offers (with onpage SEO and lots of backlinks) was my goal.

After reading a lot of posts at WF, I kind of thought making it online was not easy, but at least highly doable. Reading many warriors or people like Jonathan Volk and others saying to make millions a year is quite attractive. And my point is that after trying a few methods (maybe not the right way), and after reading this thread, I share the feeling of happymee, which is quite alarming considering he's done a lot and not found any sustainable model yet.

So right now Im wondering if some people really make 1000$ or 100$ a day. I guess I have to try my own way as it was specified but as a newbie, its so much easier to be confident when you actually believe its possible. I guess that counts for non newbies as weel, from Ive read here.

Anyway, besides the fact that ive learned in this thread that IM is not an easy journey for lots of people, I also laughed a good time :

So far I've had 5 impression on the site, of which I'm pretty sure at least 4 were me.

I have built about 800 wordpress sites in so many frickn niches, and learnt something each time, (mostly how annoying scrapebox is on the receiving end, I feel like I am just pin board for the vigra indrustry most days)

this coming from a guy that has a signature that says 'suicide is a solution to a problem.

For last 1 year I am success with eBay EPN my avg earning is 4k to 5k. And I also have two JV with me for last 6 months. Because I don't want to put all eggs in one basket.

great thread and I can sympathize with the OP.

Instead of spreading youself out thin, try to concentrate on no more than 2 things at any one time (at the maximum)

great thread once again thanks!

wow great resource man, hope you finally found your success
