Hmm, so is there an update to patch the exploits then?

Thanks for the heads up..... I try to check every week for updates to my sites....but you all know how well that turns out...... Done now, cheers

is there a plugin or service that emails you when an update is released?
Great idea. There appears to be a plugin to do the trick......I wonder if it updates itself too ;-) Just search for plugin updater and its one of the first I am trying it now on one of my sites. It has a manual mode and you can set it just to email when there is an update to be sure nothing gets broken....
This plugin updates WordPress core and the plugins to the recent versions. You can also use the auto mode or manual mode for updating and set email notifications. There is also a premium version of the plugin with more useful features available.

Your welcome! Glad you were able to update it and get secure.

I use Wordpress SEO by Yoast, and find it suitable for my needs. Before, I used All in One, but since then, haven't looked back. Why not try this plugin?
