I know that there is a huge thread about an April Google update for rankings.
But what about indexing?

I've been blasting over 40k links at two Web 2.0s, and sending them through 2 very reputable link indexers, the links are from a variety of platforms.
Only 250 of them have been indexed and it has been a few days now.

Is anyone else noticing this?

Google has been more hard lately on indexing using cheap backlink building. You'll find that doesn't work nearly as well as it used to.

Actually, you can see this in the case study Matthew did that includes indexification which uses backlinks to help indexing. Notice the indexing level starts dropping as Google evaluates the links and discounts them. It's too bad he didn't extend out the test another week or two to show how well they held up.

There's one thing Matthew is not aware of. The indexing sandbox Google has introduced since months. Some links get indexed, get deindexed by the sandbox for some time and then reappear back.. Just like the sandbox for new domains
