When researching domains for PBN, which metrics are you using? From Root or Subdomain?

Nowadays I'm finding that the metrics for non-www are much lower than when you use www.

Since the majority of links are built to the domain with www. present - doesn't checking the stats for the www. version give a much more accurate picture?

Any thoughts about this guy?

Thanks!

I just go for the one that has better metrics most the time (subdomain, url), never had any problems with it. Make sure that non-www/www are redirected to the domain itself to keep the link juice.

I use Root Domain because I am very concern on the overall strength of the domain itself.

Thanks for the replies both.

Any other input from the others would be greatly appreciated!

Check both versions of the domain: domain.com as well as www.domain.com. You'll want to setup your site according to the version with the higher metrics (this tends to be the version the majority/strongest backlinks are pointing to). I do recommend that you manually verify this by looking at the top backlinks to see which version they are actually pointing to.

Note: The www version usually (but not always) has the stronger metrics.
