Majestic going up YSE going down?

So my Majestic SEO backlink count is going up but my Yahoo site explorer backlink count is going down, like literally at the same time over the past 4-5 days. How is that even possible?

I've never had them go in opposite directions for so long, so how can I tell which one is remotely accurate?

majestic seo and ahrefs is more accurated than yahoo explorer.

Thanks. I'll go with that though, I still can't work out why i've gained 2000 according to Majestic and lost 800 according to YSE, seems wild.

majestic seo counts a lot of backlinks even from spam and bad neighborhood sites. Which is really not a good thing for my link building strategy.
