Hello there everyone. This category seemed the most appropriate to post in. I am wanting to starting making my own websites to do all that affiliate and PPC stuff but I had a few questions. One of my main concerns is maintaining my privacy. I don't plan on doing anything shady or illegal, I just don't want people to be able to find out that I am the owner of whatever website I make.

For starters, I know Godaddy offers the private domain registration option, is that all I need to keep my domain ownership totally private?

Next there is the question about webhosts. Can anyone find out through the webhost who I am? I've used a webhost before and it showed my real name when I would log on into my account since I used my debit card to pay for it. Can anyone find out who the owner is through the webhost being used? Am I the only one that would be able to see my name? Would it be wise to use a prepaid card with some made up name?

And lastly there is signing up for affiliate programs like Amazon, google ads, or clickbank, etc. Can users find out who I am through my affiliate links or anything like that?

Thank you in advance for any responses and suggestions.

Hey buddy I don't have an answer to your query,

But you might have more luck in the Web Hosting or Web Design section of BHW.

Agree with http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/218225-beven.html but to answer your question, there are a few things you can do for privacy. Private registration through a registrar still tells the registrar who you are, so the question you really need to ask yourself is how private (anonymous) are you trying to be?

Look into these things:

- reverse proxy
- off-shore hosting
- VPN

Thank you for the suggestions! I will take a look at the webhosting section.
