Hi,

So I recently acquired a pretty huge e-mail list, over 1 million e-mails.
They've all been put in a text document and 111k of them have been put in a pdf for who knows what reason.
Obviously I can make hell a lot of money by sending mass e-mails with my affiliate links, though I have no experience in this.
Any tips what to do?

I'd like to know this too. I have a list of 100k and counting.
 
I guess I am on the similar list cause I keep receiving spammy mails on "handy man", "credit cards" "affordable this", "affordable that"...I never open those mails. I think those 1 million mail owners do the same.
 
Not necessarily, there's plenty of people still falling for this. Let's just assume only 1% of this lists actually buys something.
That's like 11k people, whatever your commision is, this is a pretty damn good income. Not sure how to start with this though.

Well like you said in your OP you are completely new to mass mailing so maybe it would be ideal to hire someone like proseo1 stated to send out the emails. This would take a lot of frustration out of learning and getting the correct software running. But..... you can also take the time and learn how to send mass emails and set up your own solution. Remember this takes time and dedication just like any IM strategy. Ball is in your court!
 
Well, I'm quite handy with any software, I'm already talking to someone to blast his product :)
So I'll think I'll just be a service-seller for now :)

And how did you get it? Did you purchase it from a legit company or just downloaded it from some hack forums?

I highly doubt it will convert at 1%, more like 0.01% so around 100 conversions, not to mention the refunds/chargebacks.

Yepp, if you choose to download a publicly listed email list. If an example would be it being sold on fiverr, that doesn't make it different, since many buyers will think it's fresh and spam it for maximum revenue. Also such lists are not any niche specific, they consist of random people who without consent got added to it.
