Lately I've been gearing up for a digital product launch. I've scraped a 10k targeted (in the same niche) mailing list to accompany it.
I'm fairly new to e-mail marketing and I've been learning things on the fly so far. Earlier this week I took a small chunk of it (about 200-300 people) and sent them a few e-mails. Of course I got unsubscribes, but I ended up with about 5-6 Sale Inquiries from that small selection. I made one sale but it wasn't from the list, it was from posting about said product on another message board.
My question is, can scraped lists actually be effective? I'm asking because I never see anybody talking about using them. I scraped them manually and most of them spend money. I'm about 90% certain people will show interest in the product I'm sending newsletters about, but I'm curious to hear others' experience with scraped lists. Thanks in advance.
