Mailing list from previous web-shop

My friend used to have a webshop. He retired and closed the shop. I was able to buy his mailing list for a very small fee. I have searched the forum but didn?t find a good solution to monetize this. Is there someone who has experience in this and who can give me advice or maybe can work together with me.
The list includes name, adres and e-mail from around 45k previous costumers. Most of them in one country and all in a certain niche.
I hope anyone has any experience on this.

which country and which niche?

Would really depend on the niche, you could always sign up as an affiliate with amazon or ebay and earn through them.

Or another idea might be to setup a coupon site and send customers there.

Mostly Netherlands and some from Belgium and Germany. Niche is fashion.

Thank you for your reaction. Niche is in fashion. Will look in amazon/ebay affiliate, any other suggestions ?

Well Id recommend looking up the biggest online stores in your country, for example where I live Asos is very popular so it would be a good idea to sign up with their affiliate program, i.e http://www.paidonresults.com/merchants/asos.html

Thanks I will look into that. I'm not sure i have enough time to set something like this up. So if there is anybody interesting in the benefits from this list, give me a shout maybe we can work something out.

Still open for suggestions or maybe a JV. If someone is interested give me a massage with your skype id. I believe the list has a great potential only I do not have the know how to monetize.
