Mail service in the U.S.

Where I live the mail delivery time has gone from 10 am to 12pm average to now it averages 3-4 pm and sometimes it comes as late as 6-7 pm. There has been no massive increase in amount of population in my area,so I think they may be sleeping on the job. Because a few weeks ago I saw one of the postal vans with the guy sleeping in it, in a somewhat secluded parking lot. It may have just been an isolated incident since I haven't seen them doing that since.

Have anyone else living in the U.S. been experiencing the same?

my mail used to come at 9 am. now it's not unusual to get it after 1 or even 2 pm.
even tho fewer people are writing letters these days...

p.s. when was the last time you wrote a letter?

Yes, the USPS(United States Postal Service) is the only company allowed by the government to deliver letters. I don't know if I should report when they sleep on the job,when they are supposed to be delivering mail,or would that be bad since its snitching.

The last time I wrote a letter was probably 2 years ago,but I receive all my checks in the mail. I might consider getting a postal box since they provide both privacy for registering domains as well as earlier deliver times about 10:30 am the mail is usually in the box by.

You should report the guy, and continue to follow up on it.

USPS delivery employees are among the most highly paid and receive the best benefits of someone with no extended education requirements and no skill level required . Complete government benefits, average wage for someone with less than 5 years in is $60,000 a year, large life insurance police that is free, and 1 month of paid leave a year, and the average retirement pension is larger than even unionized jobs in the private sector. Crazy...

...and that dude probably beat out a more needing and harder working (less sleepy) employee when USPS laid off a bunch of employees instead of just lowering wages or cutting benefits slightly to keep the same numbers in the labor force at the expense of the general public.

I've always received mail around 1 or 2 PM. I've lived in several different neighborhoods in my area and they all had different mail carriers.
