Mail offer ideas?

Are there any ways to make money with affiliate programs through mailing offers? I’m talking about mailing directly to a person at an address.

What offers would work best?

Of course, you can make money but the BIGGEST problem is that if those people haven't given you the permission to mail them, you will get into trouble. I have a huge list of email addresses of active US college students but I can't monetize it because I don't know how to avoid spam folder. I tried a few things but I got banned quickly like Mailchimp, Elasticemail. I even tried Mail-in-a-box on Digital Ocean server but it is tedious to set it up and Roundcube can't send emails in bulk. And, you'll probably get banned quickly.

In your case, you need to know something about the audience to choose an offer. If you don't know anything about the list, it is mostly useless.

I'd love to try this myself I'd target older people with health products but the problem is most of them don't use the internet to order the product.

If the list is of people who’ve purchased something from an ecommerce website, then what would be my best approach?

Is this your e-commerce website? Then, you can email them about coupon codes. Give them discounts. You'll profit less from each sale, you'll get the volume of sales if you have a relatively big customer base. Wait for what other people have to say about it.

When I started out there was no internet ( imagine that ). Put an address and order form on there and send them the product.

Good idea but I'm an affiliate marketer. I need the people to order through my link online

What products or services would you recommend if the people had recently purchased something from Alibaba?

Try it with dropshipping, extra revenue stream, I do it
To answer @comoregion , sorry I'm from the UK, we tend to avoid that site
