This Chinese guy paid $145k for a licence plate 88888.

Thing is that my mother bought me a sim card ending in 88888 exactly for same reason 10 years ago (she was into Feng shui )

I still use that phone number. She passed away 4 years ago.

I felt this as a divine sign. Same 5digit number because of same culture. Am i crazy?

The number 37 is in my life, literally everywhere I look. I can't go a day without seeing it at least 3-4 times... I always thought this was some sort of sign ("3 is the magic number" + 7 being my lucky number = 37 being a magical number!) - Hence my username having 37 in.

I've put a few bets on where the number 37 has been involved - failed.
I moved into a property that was number 37 in the street - bad memories of the house.
I've had lots of bad experiences because I thought 37 was good to me, but I've also had good things come of it.

Basically, it's just coincidence. I'd like to believe that 37 is somehow magical or lucky to me, but in reality it's just coincidence that the number is in a lot of places. I think once you notice something like that happening a lot, you tend to notice it more. For instance, the number 5 could be appearing in your life multiple times a day, that doesn't mean it's magical!

Not meaning to be a dick, I'm just telling you information from my experiences. Don't do anything stupid like bet money just because your lucky number is there - most things do come down to chance unfortunately.

I just miss my mom i guess.

Flip 8 on its side and it is the symbol for infinity. Watch Toy Story and it is "Infinity and beyond."

There is plenty of magic in numbers my friend. Volumes have been written on the subject but I will say one simple thing; the numbers give you a feeling of connection with your mother and that in itself is a magical thing. Keep believing and keep that connection alive. It's a beautiful thing.

Thanks alche. Yea im not stupid, i know math and statistics very well. I do not intend to gamble either. But probability was low indeed, making it feel special. Like i got some message from outer world. I can't explain it, it just felt good, and lets just leave it at that.
Its not just about numbers, but story behind it. She believed that 8 and 9 are lucky numbers, and 4 is unlucky number, and my sim number was handpicked for that exactly same reason. And reading that article was just a gateway to happy times.
