Do you really believe in magic? I for one am a man of science but I have recently seen some tricks that make me thing twice. Is it really magic or illusion perhaps or is there science behind everything?

Illusion of course. But some guys have talents to move things for serious, to change the weather, make the fire. With their minds energy, can't remember its name, but if you 're interested I can give you. PSI I think.

I sort of do believe in magic - obviously most magic is just an illusion, but the real meaning of magic (if you believe in real magic) is making things happen that cannot be explained by what you know (science).

I am a firm believer that there are lots of things we don't know, don't understand and cant comprehend, I also believe that some people on this earth may be able to see/understand things that very few others can, and therefore those people could use what they know to perform "magic".

So based on that, yes I do believe in magic:)

I believe these are magic tricks, like the ones performed by magicians are nothing, but illusion, tricking the mind to believe something thats not real. However if your talking about real magic, like sorcery, vodoo, black magic...yeah these are real and goes outside's science's boundaries. They mostly perform it by invoking the power of some spirits and doing a ritual. Different countries, cultures, have different way of doing this. Like in Haiti, it will be performed by a Vodoo priest. In north american, its performed by shaman's, In India, they have gurus, peers, etc..depends on the religion of the person. Also in muslim countries, there are people who performs magic, its one part of sufism that deal with things that are forbidden in Islam. I seen that video on youtube, people mutulation there boding, percing all kinds of sharp object in their body without feeling any pain at all..In Islam, its forbidden to perform magic, good or bad...because these are the things inspired by the devil and sometimes deals with shirk...

Here's my opinion. Magicians-illusions Real magic-real, sometimes evil, sometimes not. Some would call the Law of Attraction on the same order as magic, and that I do not think is evil.

That is exactly what I am talking about. I understand that there is a logical expression behind almost everything that happens but there are a few things that can never explained by science.

Exactly like what you said : People who can see and read stuff that is not available or incomprehensible to the normal mind.

I thought about being a Magician, but then I decided I wanted to have a girlfriend.

I study magic a LOT! Part of my IM business is selling magic tricks that I make on eBay. I LOVE Derren Brown type psychology magic. He basically tells you how the trick is carried out (sometimes a lie) and then dazzles you in another way. You think he is showing you magic, then he brain-f's you into oblivion!

Unfortunately... It's all fake tricks... Or science. For instance it's not magic that he "puts people under."

Of course Silly Billy!! :p

It's all magic, miracles and turtles!

Actually, these guys are the ultimate salesmen in selling illusions!

This is magic :D I dont have a clue how he is doing that.

This one is pretty easy.

Set up:

- Take the book, rip out page 60 in a cut that can be matched up really obviously.
- Take an envelope and place a loose brown page in it. (Notice how he is holding it in the video thumbnail - You can't see the creases because that's where the page starts). This makes the envelope have a "secret compartment" where the ripped page is already (with the writing already on it).
- Put a brand new (straight cut edges) page 60 (from another copy of the book) at a random spot (WELL AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL PAGE 60). Make sure that the page is sticking out so that only you (the magician) will notice it.

The Trick:

- Show them the envelope with "nothing" in it (secret compartment already has the page 60 with writing on it).
- Show them the book and make them think they are choosing page 60 freely (we call this "the force" because we are forcing it on the audience with them thinking they are choosing). Ask them "right here?" so they think they are telling you where.
- Tell them they picked page 60.
- Tell them the story of you mentally taking the page out and writing on it.
- Ask them to open the envelope. They will open the secret compartment (which will automatically open by the way it is folded in).

Watch as they jizz over your mighty morphin' power ranger powers!

And that, Gentlemen, is my method.

(Sorry if I spoilt the trick for anyone).
