Magento SEO best practice?

Hi All,

I've been running an online pet store for about 1.5 years now and we're not really ranking that well. I've been reading a few guides on how to set up your Magento site for SEO from the beginning. Just wondering which guide/instructions you guys believe to be the most useful/correct?

I've had a look at the MOZ guide and also the Paulnrogers guide, however i'm looking for a little more information regarding setting up google site tools and URL re-writes and rich snippets etc. If you guys know any good guides that would be awesome!

For web dev stuff you are better off searching some development forums. A few here know their stuff, but frankly its not the wheel house of these forums.
