Made my first Internet Dollar! Ready for the next step!

After months of reading on here and not knowing where to start because of the information overload everywhere, I finally bit the bullet last week and tried out one the the e-whoring techniques I've read on here. I've been making steady 40-80 dollars a day now for the past several days for only an hour or so work. I added my own twist to it and am getting 30-40% conversions and it feels great!

Now that I've made my first dollar online, I'm very excited to start taking further ACTION rather than submitting to paralysis by analysis again, because I know it can be done. I'm making more just "working" an hour a day now than I did during a full 8 hour day busting my ass at my previous job. However I know ewhoring doesn't last as companies start converting you to revshare programs.

I've decided to start signing up to various affiliate sites (like cj, hydra etc) and try my hand at selling stuff -REAL Internet Marketing. I've been learning a lot of HTML and CSS so I can have a basic knowledge at setting up sites and running them. I'll move on to php, etc once I'm familiar with the basics.

However, I'm having a hard time getting started with the next step I'm wanting to take.

I'm reading about doorway pages, squeeze pages, blogs, buildings lists etc. and don't know where to start. I want to try promoting some free CPA offers and I want to do it through my own website -because it is something I have to learn.

But all these terms and specialized sites are confusing. I've made a wordpress in the past, I decked it out with a lot of plugins I've found on here and even customized it a bit, but then forgot about it because I realized that the keyword I built it around -quit smoking -was way out of my league at the moment.

I'm thinking of making another wordpress blog and submitting it as my site on affiliate applications and using it to sell shit until I learn the more advanced stuff like squeeze pages, etc. This is where I get a mental block.

1. Do I make a general blog (i.e something promoting dating offers) so I can keep making new blog posts on it with my new aff links to various offers? Or do I make a blog on one specific product, make a single post reviewing it and move on? -if there's any wiggle room, I'd also be interested in taking my quit smoking blog and finding a way to niche down with it to promote stuff on there.

2. I can't just sell shit in every post because I'm going to come off as a snake oils man, so how do you get around the fact that by making a content rich blog, everytime you make a new post your older posts (containing your aff link -MONEY) falls down your page and gets less exposure?

3. How much content should I have on my wordpress blog before I start signing up to affiliates (that require a webpage)? I really want to get started soon with this.

I'm going to be creating a company name and getting all the papers set up for it soon, I really want to get started for real this time. I've spent too much time researching and not enough doing and now I know I have everything here I need to start making some cash while I learn the more advanced stuff.

I'm not looking for a walkthrough, believe me I've been reading massive amounts of threads on here the past few months, just some general tips on where to get started with affiliate marketing. (type of site/blog, offers and such). Even a link to a thread I may have overlooked with what I need would be hugely appreciated.

The fact that I'm actually making money now by just sitting at my desk is really liberating, without all the information on here I'd probably still be doing nothing, reading threads on DP and getting nowhere. Thanks BHW!!

I really want to get this going.
I've done some research on registering a business in Canada, fee's and such, but am not sure whether it makes a difference if I register a sole proprietorship or a corporation (besides liability issues). When CJ asks for "company info" do they want actual corporate info or is a business sufficient?

Based on info found on this site, a general plan would be:

1. invest $9 in a .com
2. make a few subdomains, like for different affiliates (eg. dating.tbootzblog.com)
3. turn the subdomain into a blog.
4. get hold of a few articles on your niche, and do a re-write (or hire some one)
5. Post a hold load onto your site, but age them (back date them as it were) (info on how is available on here)
6. Instead of promoting them all yourself, promote them all "yourself", i.e. in the form of feedback by guests, asking something like "hey, would you go for x or y ?", where x and y are both your affiliate products, and you can respond to the feedback

like I said, it's all real general info, but there are threads and threads available on every one of those steps, all available on here.

hey thanks for the suggestions! The idea of a subdomain makes a lot of sense but i hadnt thought about it before. Would these subdomains be linked via the main index or would i keep them seperate for different offers? if the latter what would i put on my homepage? Maybe a general placeholder or about section. btw ive never heard of a hold load before (your fifth suggeston) can you just give a brief explanation on it so I know what to search for. Is it related to a redirect? thanks a bunch for the help!

oh and one more thing if I update the blog with new posts thus pushing down my older ones containing my aff links wont that be counterintuitive to me selling whatever I'm promoting? -since its recieving less exposure. btw tried giving you a thanks but couldnt from my mobile device so I'll give one when I have pc access again

Best Nicotine Gum, try and change the stop smoking into a niche for that. It's a long tail keyword with only 603 allintitle:'s to compete with. You'd be first ranked for sure.

Totally up to you. You could link straight to the subdomain instead of index.html or whatever (as in the links in your signatures on forums etc)
Anyway, I'm sure that some one else will be along to give you more advice about this part, as it's not really something I know a lot about (yet).

You can pin certain posts to the top of a blog (but I don't remember how, but I read it on here)

As far as how to populate your blog would be easy. You can find PLR articles and either rewrite them yourself or hire someone to do so. Rewrites are really cheap anymore so you wouldn't have to spend a ton and you could get enough to cover different niches for your blog.

I would suggest putting something in each article. May take a bit longer but I usually hyperlink a few words throughout each article and find an offer to throw a little banner in each one.

As long as the ads aren't huge every other 3-4 articles can have a small one in it. They really start noticing if the ads are huge.

You don't even need that plugin anymore, WP lets you do that as a standard function since 2.7

Ok, I'm going to try myself at selling information products. Even if I'm not making any sales for a while, anything I make will be more than I am making at the moment.

One thing I am having problems with is proxies. I have To*r but it's slow as hell with only a few US IP's to rotate. Everyone here talks about rotating proxies and using them at all times but whenever I do a search on anonymous proxies it takes me like an hour to find a working one (albeit still fucking slow). Even on the proxy forum on here none of the proxies work after like an hour of being posted. Do most blackhats use some kind of software that I am unaware of or do you actually buy a list of proxies?

I read about using dial-up to rotate proxies, but I don't want to be working at 56k, because even t*or is a speed demon compared to that...
