made my first ever sale online with amazon

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to this forum(my first post) and to internet marketing/making money online. I have no prior experience in selling anything online but i have some knowledge of website design.

Today i made my first ever sale as an amazon affiliate. I made my first ever niche website months and months ago and kind of forgot about it. I hadn't updated it and i was focusing on learning more about keyword research to build a new niche website as i felt that this first website that i made had gave me a little bit of experience on how to get started with it all.

Well, today i checked out my amazon affiliate account and noticed that someone had bought an item through one of my links!

The item is worth $59.99 which i am pleased with. I didn't expect it at all and it has now gave me the confidence and motivation to pursue making money online via niche websites. As this is my first sale ever with amazon i still can't see how much commision i will make from the sale but i'm guessing it will show once the item is probably shipped?.

Anyways, i know this probably won't mean anything to you lot as much as it does to me but i'm really happy that i was able to make this happen. I've been unemployed for 6 months now and really depressed at the lack of job interviews i've been getting recently. I'm 23 and have worked since i was 18 and it's frustrating that i am not able to get a job as soon as i would like to have. Maybe one day this will be my job!.

Thanks for the response everyone. I'm glad this can help also inpsire other newcomers and show they that all it takes is a little time and effort and good things can come from it. I could have spent way more time on my first site and tried to rank it but i was depressed about being unemployed. This has motivated me to try harder now and make use of the knowledge i have gained to better my lifestyle and help me on my way to finally gaining some income.

Awesome! Once the item is shipped you will get the commissions. Now that you have popped your IM cherry start split testing with some similar sites/content in your niche then scale it up. You are on your way

That's why you don't stop working on the site. Eventually if its done right you will get more hits and sales.

I'm starting to realise that what i had done was a mistake. I think being unemployed for so long had took its toll on me and now im determined to make this work.

I will work harder and better at what i'm going to do. I will get back on board with this site and make it generate more sales!.

I have 1 question though. Is it wise to rewrite the homepage article and other pages?. Most of the mainpage article was written by myself and im by no means a good writer. Is it wise to pay someone to write a decent copy of it for me? will this hurt my indexing on google if i change it?

Now scale this puppy and watch it grow Look in to other sources of income, take your current earnings and invest back in to it. Do a search here Ulead and take advantage of scraping targeted leads good luck!

You can rewrite it and it will get cached without hurting your ranking unless you over optimize so dont worry about that. Always split test and see what works better
