i have a site that does around 3 million page views weekly (went up to 4 mil peak season this year) and want to try and replicate the success of my current site.
The second one I have made features a more modern interface that is easier to digest at face value, whereas my main site that does millions in traffic has a more legacy, older layout that has more clutter in it.

Both of these sites are completely different brands and domains, however they both play the same game. What are some ways i can garner more traffic to the second, newer design without being intrusive and still keeping my main websites userbase? I also want to boost SEO rankings for the second site as its name would make it very easy to gain traffic from completely organic search engine results.
The first website has a unique name so it does excellent well in organic search results, but that's only because its the most popular site out there. Aside from that it mostly gets users from word of mouth, we don't do any advertising whatsoever.
