Made $30 on two articles today

It's been 5 days and my Daily Estimated Page Views have not been updated. Anyone else having the same problem?

Yeah. They said on the forum they're going through delays and something's gotta be done ...manually...something - I don't remember.
But he also said that it should update sometime today.

@blackma I'm pretty sure nobody is going to answer your "serious" question because it's such a stupid one. lol. maybe you should READ before you ask such a ridiculous question.

HINT: Check out what section of the forum your in. lmao!!!

@ rox12345- I'm hoping to have the 2nd book finalized and released by Feb 1st (crossing my fingers). I'll update my signature when I have it ready and then do what I can to get it listed in the BST section also. I'm excited to get it out to you guys!

@ kapow! and prasenjit - Mine were updated about 15 mins ago, so you may want to check it out and see if yours were as well. They update the views in "blocks", so everyones may not have been updated at the same time though. It's funny because Darnell over at AC has been having to make apologies for the delayed PV updates for nearly 5 months lol. Seems to me that a company with an estimated worth of 68 million + should be able to hire a decent programmer/webmaster?

Like I was telling streetballa yesterday, sometimes mine take as long as 4-5 days but everything's always updated by the time the perf. payments are sent out.

@ blackma - Whoaaa dude, you're posting in the Ass0ciated C0ntent subforum lol.

@ Redtide, thnx for the explanation didn't click that it would mean having 2 paypal accounts. Paypal are so finnicky that I'm so scared of falling out of graces with them. Everything in moderation I guess.

You're welcome. Pay*pal can be a real pain in the ass but in this case you're good to go because they legitimitely allow you to have a personal account and a seperate business account. I've been attaching AC accounts to Pay*pal email addresses for over a year and have never had them raise an eyebrow over it.

Good luck!

hey red, need some help badly...
Can AC know that I re-wrote the article even if it passes copyscape?

thanks in advance..

Hi Uchiha,jain,

First of all, I highly recommend pulling the actual article down from your above post (I PMed you with why it's important).

Having you answer a few questions will help me to help you better.

1) Did you rewrite the title or did you use the same one as the original?

2) Was the rewrite done by you or was it done by a hired rewriter?

3) Did you leave all of the same first and last names in the rewrite for the people being mentioned throughout this original article?

4) Not sure if you have it, but if you do, have you read the chapter in the book that talks about Plagiarism and Copyscape?

I'm pretty sure I already know what went wrong but having more info will help me to give a more definite answer.

I would like to say something here about CS. Don't rely 100% on it. Because, the other day I checked one of my my own earlier articles that was also submitted to a blog some days ago. That blog was later taken down soon after that, and that article also had no chance of getting copied to any other site. CS gave me a clean chit, but having my doubts, I checked the article sentence-by-sentence in Google.

Google showed me that every sentence was already present on the net! In its cache... So even if that blog was physically non-existent, the G-cache still remained, and showed me that every word that was now checked and passed by CS was in fact a 'dupe'!

If I had submitted the same article to AC, they would have rejected my article and/or have banned my a/c. Surely they are not just relying on CS for dupe-checks.

This is just one example though, and CS is not 100% right when it says that there are "No results found for the text you pasted...". If the pasted text and the original are still compared side-by-side, then the 'similarities' will be revealed.

Hey red, thanks for the tips :)

As for your questions:

1) The title was rewritten.

2) I hired a writer.

3) The peoples' names were same.

4) I haven't read your book. Couldn't afford :D. Was gonna after the articles would get accepted. Well, I guess I'm gonna have to wait ..

@srb888: thanks for the nice tips on AC and CS..

Pardon my ignorance, I'm brand new to submitting to the forum. What exactly is "AC"? I'd be interested in learning more about the entire process. Thanks!

Read this entire thread and then read the entire forum-section to know what AC (asso*ciatedcon*tent) is. Nothing better than to pull up a chair, some coffee, and cookies to go with it. Just don't ask another naive question until you finish reading. At the end you'll not only know what AC is, you'll also be a master money-maker! :D

@ Uchiha,

I'm pretty sure it is was all of the full names that were quoted in the article. Even when an article has been rewritten around all of those names and then passes CS, it raises their eyebrows and they'll look to check out your sources. A simple google search of the quoted names would have brought up your source article for AC's editors. The rule of thumb is to take the names out whenever possible before having them rewritten. ;)

Also, if a person can get their rewriter to try to write it from more of a first person perspective, as if it's their personal experience, it helps too. Had you cited sources on the rewritten article btw? Also, I assume you didn't cite the original article as your rewrites source?

The other thing is that if you registered the account from outside the US without a proxy you kind of left the door wide open for them to link all accounts and ban. I thought the article was actually a good one to submit, but probably needed those quoted names pulled out.

srb is totally right about CS's cache...the man is a genius ;)

@ Feixia913 - Thanks much, I hope it helps you get a solid start. If you havent, I would skim through this thread looking for the juicy stuff and take notes as well. :) It will work with the book to get you rollin. Enjoy the read and let me know if you have any questions.

@ vmazz - You're definitely gonna want to get accustomed to your surroundings mate :D Right above you maybe 6 -7 posts up is a firstorm you'll want to start with lol.

Watch out cause here comes tchashow ;)

Anyway, welcome to the boards. Just read, research, and pick a method that best suits your current skillset. You'll rock.

Cheers,

Red

guys,i checked my PV's today and i noticed i only have 260 and in hootsuite i have over 500+.Are Hootsuite's clicks inaccurate or Ac didnt update the views properly?
Anyone experienced this thing before?

awwwwwww red, are you calling my post a firestorm??? lol. i just can't believe that people ask such crazy questions. but i guess i may have been a little harsh on them. Sorry about that guys. I guess I ask crazy questions sometimes too.

BTW, what does BHW stand for? I've been wondering for a while now. Just been afraid to ask. ;)

@tca What website are you on now? BlackHatWorld

@ everyone There is nothing in the eBook about UNVERIFIED paypal accounts.
What do I do about those when I am outsourcing? When do I create a new paypal account? What happens if my paypal account gets locked after the $500 spending limit, or whatever the limit is?

@ streetballa - Give it more time and they should be updated fully. Typically Hootsuites numbers will run higher than AC based on the fact that a reader has to stay on the page for a minimum amount of time before it's counted as a view by AC, but it's typically not a difference of almost 250 views.

@ tchashow - Actually I lol'd when I read your response, so no harm, no foul. ;) I guess those kind of questions roll off me now after a year of answering questions in the thread and through the consulatation service. I've never seen two people on the same page of the thread ask what AC stands for though. :)

@ stool - I'm not really trackiing with your question. What does an unverified pay*pal account have to do with outsourcing/when you start your secondary Pay*pal?
