Made $30 on two articles today

Hey guys just wanted to let you know about the response to my email to AC.

Basically the reason why they offered me such a low upfront for this wasnt the quality of the piece. They actually complimented me on it. They said that the topic didnt perform well in the search engines. Not sure if anyone is donig this before selecting a topic but I think one of the keys to higher upfronts is to make sure the topic you are writing on gets a significant amount of google searches. I know people have mentioned Google Trends but I really dont get a huge amount of ideas from that because its mostly searches about current events and news. I guess running some keyword searches on the topic before writing them would be good to make sure its getting traffic.

I guess theres a fine line between highly unique and boring. :)

@ redtide, I had collected all the important posts in one notepad..I can post it if you want..:)

Sounds great BH, thanks. I will PM you me email. If you don't mind sending it to me I will read it over and add any other posts I think might add to it. I can then send it back to you to post or I can post it myself.

That would be awesome...+ rep for that.

If you need How To articles, go to 5min dot com. They're videos. Transcribe the ones that have a ton of hits recently. Double check though to make sure the text version isn't already up on the Internet though to be on the safe side. ;-)

I am a veteran on AC and been doing things the white hat way. I decided I wanted to outsource some of the work. I also wanted to get better topics for higher upfront offers. Redtide's book taught me how to do both of those and a few tricks that I didn't know about. Whether you're new to AC or been at it awhile, you'll definitely get a lot of Redtide's book. It is very informative and helpful. I'd pay triple what I paid for this insider information.

Thanks for the tips about 5min dot com. I will take a look at the method and hopefully others will as well.

I'm glad you found the book helpful. Thanks much for taking the time to post up about it Shawndellah.

Thanks for so much useful information!

You're welcome. I'm glad you've found it helpful LadyHye

Thanks for the share livinitup0.

Absolutely, like we've talked about, that's part of the equation as well. The higher performing articles will have higher search volume in the SE's.

The main thing is using topics/keywords that have a solid amount of search volume in the SE's, but isn't already done to death at AC itself. It's all about locating content to scrape that's a combination of those two things. It takes time and practice to be able to do this without going to each and physically checking, but that's the combination that you're looking for.

Glad you got it clarified and actually got a response over there

Cheers,

Red

PMed redtide..I got little confused and sent twice..sorry for that. and No need of sending back to me..you can post it directly.:)

I got it thanks BH. I will try to work on it early next week and get it posted up for everyone. That way when people pop in asking the same things all of the time, we can just say "go to page xxx"

Should save a lot of headaches for everyone, me included ;)

Thanks Redtide for all your support. I am new here and at AC too and am going through this gigantic topic.

It was this thread that encouraged me to write my first article at AC tonight. I hope it gets reviewed faster.

I am totally new to making money online and all and once I get a little amount, I will for sure buy your ebook :).

So once again thanks a lot. There are not many people on internet who offer help like you do :).

Redtide is a GREAT guy.
Honestly in my circumstance, I'm a complete noob to SEO etc etc, and I thought "Well I'f im going to make money online, there's no point choosing the easiest choice because it will ge saturated and therefore probably only short-term. SO I looked into AC and redtide supports everyone and the support he provided was amazing, not only did he give me answers to what I was looking to but gave me extra to help me along. I was in awe, the people I'm around on a daily basis are all "me me me".
anyway from what I've purchased (Red will know) from having a 10 minute read I am already seeing the errors I've made thus far.
Definitely recommend to anyone starting AC.

i have been trying to muddle through the AC thing with just this thread. After reading Red's book everything has been made crystal clear. Red is also a great guy to deal with. He will always get back to you in a timely manner.
you get way more than you pay for with this book.

Black Hats Rule!

Thanks you guys for all of the kind words. It makes me feel great that you found it so helpful. If I can find the time, I'm thinking of writing a completely new book that will go even more indepth and fill in some of the holes that I wasn't able to put in this first edition.

It was already getting so long at 39 pages, I felt like I left a lot on the table after I wrote it. This second book will not cover "the basics" like the first one does, and will be more meant for people already using AC who want my step by step methods for scaling it up.

I figure this way there will be a 1st edition (the current book) that caters more to AC newcomers, and then the new 2nd edition for only more advanced AC users to help fine tune everything they're doing.

Sometimes I wish there was 48 hours in a day so I could get things like this put together faster. ;)

Thanks again for the kind words you guys!

Cheers,

Red

If your an advanced user you can just purchase redtides consulting service. He will take an hour and spend it only with you on instant messenger trying to iron out your problems.

He helped me realize some of the things I was doing wrong and it really did help me. I have already made hundreds from AC so its not like I am a complete newbie.

So instead of asking him to spoon feed you in this thread, just go pay him and have him spoon feed you for an hour, straight to the face in real time.

Red's, hope you get your ebook done soon. How much covered then 2nd ebook be? 40 pages long? :)

where should start ? I'm newbie.

Begin => ebook part 1 or jump to ebook part 2 :p

Now Dragon Naturally Speaking it work?

Thank you :)

ps. i'm sorry Mild Eng language . :(

thx redit :D
my first article (and it's part 1) have got 2.5$ , and reviewd in 2 days :P
and another artcile decline, but they told me what to change ,again thx

@ mcgamepro - I'm not sure how many pages it will be yet. I want to make sure the new book is as packed with information as possible though. I won't release it until I feel it will give the reader just as much value for the dollar as my first book ;)

@ virus-a - You'll definitely want to start with the current book if you're new to AC. The
2nd book will be for novice and advanced AC users only. The 2nd book will not cover the basics like how to create your phone verified accounts, how to best deal with rejected articles etc etc. Buyers of the 2nd book will already know these things either from having the 1st book, or from having learned it themselves through trial and error.

@ sorical - You're welcome and congrats for making some money with your first submission! Take a good look at what you did well with that first article so that you're consistently getting them accepted in the future. I don't think you have the book (correct me if I'm wrong) so I would suggest reading up on earlier parts of this thread in order to better your chances at the higher upfront payments.

It feels great to get that first AC money doesn't it?

Could you help me on like how to choose my keyword? The problem I am facing is that I am confused on what my main keyword has to be.

I plan to write a series on articles on topics like "How to organise your papers at work?" and so on. So what should be the keyword that I should focus in my article? Should it be "Organise your papers" or "organise papers" or anything else? Can you please give me an example?

I might be sounding silly asking such a question. But I am really confused on what would help me get maximum page views on this article.

Thanks a lot.

@ icecoolb - I would suggest going back and reading the first 10-15 pages of the thread because we've already covered it in length. In your above example, your keywords would be "organize your papers." The problem is that those keywords are not very specific (like we've described earlier in the thread). You want to scrape or write content that's based on tightly focused, specific keywords.

@ sorical - That's right, my bad ;)

WOW, I posted an ad on CL last night in 3 cities. Within 12 hours I got flooded with tons or HIGHLY qualified professionals willing to write for me. These inlcude writers with 25 years experience, professors, people from publishing companies, magazines, editors, and the rest form various other professions that work in this area. All within my timezone. My ad sucked to! It was 3am and I just threw a couple lines together offering $1 each. They have no problem with the guidelines at all. This is just to damn easy! So for anyone screwing around with GAF this seems like a WAY better option.

Awesome, I hope some of them pan out for you Nightshade.

Definitely, everyone should try all options. There are a ton of places out there you can place ads for rewriters. Since this thread gets like 300-500 views a day, everyone will have to mix things up in order to not be hitting all of the same sites. I've talked about GAF because it's where I've hired all of my writers, but you can use USfreeads, oDesk, Elance, Craigslist, Scriptlance etc.

Happy Halloween all!

Red

I'm getting $4.3 - $5 for my articles with 450 - 500 words. I just submitted a couple articles with 1000+ words.
Should I expect a offer of $8?
Anyone with experience please enlighten me.

Thanks already.......
