Made $30 on two articles today

So currently I'm just working with 1 account, but want to start to add 1 or 2. But then when I made those accounts, do I need to use proxies when I log on/claim/submit? Or can I just work without having to cover my steps?

Got paid $3.31 for an article. That's the highest I earned for an article on AC. Most of them fetch me $2.50 to $3.

This article ($3.29) was on "how to" on downloading movies. (hint for others,
"how to" articles are preferred by AC) Yes, already discussed somewhere in this thread.

I charge up to $2 for 100 words to most of my clients, and AC would return me $2 for a 400 word article. I felt like killing them while clicking on the" ACCEPT OFFER " tab for $2.

No matter how good a writer you are, unless you give AC what they are looking for, you won't see good results with upfront payment.

Thanks Red, I was able to scale up after reading your ebook. Also, my rejection rate has seen a flip side. I just have to deal with occasional rejection with their absurd reasoning that the content was not as much unique as they wanted it to be.

Outsourcing stuff is working well for me as well, except for the fact that I have to proofread and fix minor and major hiccups with their articles. I tried Odesk instead of gaf and scriptlance.

It's been a week since this venture, and now I see few dollars trickling in my Paypal account almost every day without fail. Ofcourse, I plan to take it to the next level very soon since I have finished testing the water.

Last but not the least, how do I outsource sleep...lol.. Haven't slept properly since the last few days admits my other writing assignments and AC Trial..

Cool, now keep in mind that to get the consistanly high upfront offers from Ac you'll want to focus on one specific keyword/phrase per article. Then use that one phrase multiple times in order to bring your keyword density up to 2-2.5%. They will accept articles without keywords used properly, but in order to get consistantly high offers you'll want to use your keywords correctly.

Regarding your payment...they pay every Mon, Wed. and Friday, so even though you've accepted their offer, AC won't make the payment until the next scheduled payday.

I wanted to pass on to you guys something that points out a few of the reasons AC will never become saturated, and why THEY NEED US more than we need them. As I've said before, AC makes a killing off of our page views and thus the importance of us promoting our articles for higher upfront payments, clout level, and partner calls.

It is known within inner circles that Associated Content generates about $8-$12 per thousand pageviews their content producers article's generate, which would put the monthly revenue run-rate at approximitely $200,000 a month. Assuming more growth from there, we estimate that 2010 revenue will be in the neighborhood of $20 million dollars. The company was recently valued (Associated Content) at $85 million dollars.

This is a perfect example of why they are so concerned about keywords being used properly. It also points out rather clearly how much profit they are making on our article's page views.

Like I've been saying, the higher your article's page views, the more they are willing to pay you (invest in you) for your upfront payments. It also points out clearly why they need us more than we need them :biggthump

Well, it depends on what the article related to birds is about. If it's just an article like "why birds fly south for the winter" It will probably be rejected for being too broad in scope (or get a really low offer.) If it's something more like "How to train a Macaw Parrot to speak spanish" your keywords would be "Macaw Parrot."

Shoot me a PM with the title of the article and I'll tell you what the keywords should be, or let you know if it's too broad in scope and has no keywords of any value. Like I said, if it's just about "birds" it would get rejected probably.

"Birds" is a huge topic and there are plenty of niche topics inside this keyword. For example: exotic birds, birds of prey, bird cages, bird house, bird food, bird seeds, north american birds, asian birds, bird baths, bird feeders, wild birds, talking birds, extinct birds, bird species, ... ... (and the list goes on-and-on forever!)

There are so many things you can write on birds! The keywords would differ from article to article based on the content. For example, there are the highly sought-after very specific keywords (medium-to-long tail) that are searched all the time in the search engines, but would they match your article, i.e., an article having keywords from the above example list? Just mentioning "I have written an article on birds... I need keywords!" will put your readers in indefinite loop...

So, just try the following free KW research tools and find the KWs matching your content. Believe me, these tools can quickly put your SEO writing skills in a much higher plane than where you are presently:

As red said, even these niche KWs are still "too-broad" and therefore should be more focused as explained by RedTide in the above example.... but you should find your niche topic first, and then only you can further fine-tune your article and its compatible keywords... Believe me, it's definitely a very hard work, even if it's just one article... But that's what will put you up as a great writer WITH real SEO skills.

Well said, that's something that a lot of people dont realize is just how vast niche choices are. You can write on anything with AC, so if you follow the Googl method from my guide, you can use Googl keyword tool to find niches to search when you're scraping.. I haven't found it too difficult because I do it for one solid day, but then won't have to think about it for two weeks. Every main niche like birds for instance, have dozens of sub categories of potentialy great keywords.
