Mine is 2 sales. So, the point is to have some higher priced product to promote. Off course you have to have some info about the product.

Thanks for the great motivation 10zen! I just wonder how do you cloak the link? Im going to use blogger to promote some product but don't know how to cloak the link with this. Bit.ly looks so unappealing

It depends. I am into personal development. So, I subscribe to email newsletter to different sites.
So, I also check their affiliate links.
But whatever products you use, check their site for affiliate promo.
I have another product I am going to promote next. But it's product price is low
but multi tiered and new monthly products.
So, low priced products are also good if they are high converting, generic ones and multi-tiered.
Edit: you can also give try to this product. They have back end products too. It's simple
visualization too and most people are interested

It's good to be able to cloak links. Make use of show link as in blogger though. When you hover to the link it shows text, that one. But I don't cloak my link or rather I can't on blogger. Just make your review, post seems natural. If they are reading your review then they are interested in that product and they are goign to care about aff links. It's easy for them to just go through the link given by you.
By the way I send them to free video about something(vendor provides the link to it) for which they have to enter their name and email. There is nothing else on the squeeze page except screenshot of video and a little form to enter their name and email.
So, look for such squeeze page for the product you're promoting. You get better chance at sales because only most interested will opt in and vendor will take of the rest.
So, don't worry about aff links being visible for now. Just use what you have at your disposal. You'll find better tools as you go on.

As I mentioned, my blog has only 3 total posts, one review written by me, other 2 articles from the vendor. The article has links to free video.
Make the blog plain, one sidebar which shows shows your post links and some
privacy, disclaimer, about us at the bottom. Meaning no distractions.
Also, I create navigation tabs and link them to my affiliate links , when they click on it they are taken to squeeze page.
But I am going to write some articles for getting some visitors.

I am subscribed to their newsletter. Usually all of the vendors notify their subscribers about the upcoming product just to arouse curiosity and build expectation.
It's difficult to know for the products you are not interested in.
