I bought a domain name with exact title of most popular comedy show on india for $1 and resold it for $149 on godaddy. When I bought the domain and asked some people, should I sell it. They told me to drop the idea, Fu CK them.

You need to understand WHY people told you to drop the domain.

You were advised to drop because it's a brand name. It's copyrighted which means the shows producers could sue you and take it from you freely leaving you out of pocket.

The advice given to you was for your own good. You got lucky. The new owner will now have the same issues you were warned about.

Uhm I don't think this is true but I really do not know.
 
That was a lucky one on your part. Keep trying to repeat the process and you might have yourself a plausible domain flipping business. I know tv show domains are popular because people love writing about your favorite shows. Find other shows in other countries and do the same thing over and over.
