I am amazed that someone actually bought one of my designs. I thought I would never sell anything on that site

(this is my first internet dollar)

All I did was upload like 7 designs about a month or so ago. I never advertised my page anywhere
I made all the designs using GIMP 2.0 (pictures online + some of my own artwork)

The product that sold only had 9 views

I had absolutely no plans for redbubble money, but should I try to get more sales?
If I can make $1.30 I can make $3 ???

Making redbubble designs takes me like 5-30 mins in GIMP and I like graphic design.
I don't really want to make stupid shirts that say stuff like "I am a firefighter!"

Anyone have ideas on how to bring traffic to redbubble?

I mean, you basically answered your own question. If you had 7 design and made 1.30, you're obviously going to make more money when you make more designs. I was going to say something like targeted advertising for those who wants shirts, but they need more designs before you do that.

Or you could put those same designs on Amazon.

How do you put redbubble designs on amazon?

Awesome, you can buy a whole mcdonalds hamburger with that :)

Well done just show your designs are good .

Keep it up.

You sound happy desingning why not continue.

Try and make niche banners there sell on here i say.

good job. if you can make $1 online, you can make $1000

as for getting more traffic:

make best use of the title, description, and tag fields to get organic traffic

make use of social media profiles showcasing your designs

congratulations mate
I am also trying to sells designs there, I guess its all about good designs .

Good luck.

Yeah perusing art is actually my dream goal. Im only in highschool right now and I am going to a community college next year for one year. I am going to spend that whole year focusing on making money online and try to start something I can expand before I go to a 4 year college (trying out drop shipping). My main goals right now are to be able to not have to work a crappy job in college and be able to afford illustrator so I can make my own personal graphic design website and hopefully start making money before I even graduate. It sounds like a good plan, but its all talk right now. I need to put in the work and effort

Hi, congratz! btw , how at how much you sold the design ? coz you got a low profit there, or it's a sticker ?
My advice is if you want to go the path of an Artist who sells its designs, then you should work n yourself, gathering designing skills & improve your arts .
If you want to go the path of an Internet Marketer looking to get money, then you should consider designing something peoples would buy, & that's mean doing research before designing, means doing niche based designs, and not sticking to "Hope Marketing" , search for hot niches & popular designs, look for some spy tools if they exist for Redbubble, search for places in web where you can find audiences in your niche..etc

Good luck.

The first dollar you make feels actually a lot better than the first thousand.. so enjoy the rush :) and go ahead and scale some more :)

I've made a few dollars on Redbubble. Someone bought some notebooks and a laptop bag, so I've probably made around $20 in 8 months ha. Problem is I'm not a designer, I can't really make anything except text shirts. You can sell stuff the same way with Amazon merch. There's a guy on the Journey board making loads of money off Tshirts. He looks at best selling shirts on the market, and redoes them in his own style and puts the design up. Doing further research I also found some info about a guy who makes $150k a year on redbubble. He says 1 in 20 take off, so the way to win is overload the market with as many shirts as you can till you find a winner. Then repeat. Again, not a stable idea for a person who can't make designs himself without investment.

Congrats. It's gratifying to get rewarded for something you actually enjoy.

I have a question about uploading designs on Redbubble. All of my designs seem to show up extremely small in the preview, no matter how big the actual graphic is. Is there a way to adjust the dimensions after uploading it?

I only have experience using Teespring, which lets you play around with the design dimensions after upload.

Thanks.

Nice job bro. If you sell whitout any ads, you should be good ;)
