if you upgrade from inside the vmware, most likely it won't boot again because each version require different settings to be configured

OK thank you for the advice, but i am this kind of a person so like to try things on my own and find out the hard way so let me keep trying and doing things my way and see if i ned any help along the way i will hit you up quickly. Apart from solving problems on here what are some of the other things you do to help minkind ....?

trying and failing is the fastest & smartest way to learn things. In my experience, BHW always helps people who are stuck.
BTW, I run an agency for web design, copywriting, CRO, etc.

Your virtualization is enabled or not?

Enable Virtualization (VT) on bios had a similar problem and it worked at least that was my case take a look if it works for you.
